    Abstract: A drive power mission system having a driving pulley, a plurality of driven pulleys, and the power transmission belt laid in a serpentine manner over the pulleys. The driving pulley and at least one driven pulley, which are in contact with the inner surface of the power transmission belt, have a plurality of V-grooves arranged circumferentially. The V-groove fits to ribs formed on the inner surface of the belt, and the remaining pulley or pulleys, which are engaged with the outer surface of the power transmission belt have a plurality of protrusions arranged in parallel and circumferentially. The protrusions engage the outer surface of the belt, which is flat, and the power transmission belt is an endless belt having a plurality of ribs arranged longitudinally thereof. The ribs are substantially equal in section along the widthwise direction of the belt and the outer surface of the belt is flat.

    Abstract: A power transmission belt (10,21) of improved manufacture wherein a novel reinforcing fabric (4,14) is provided in the inner portion of the compression section (3,13) of the belt. The fabric is formed of yarns (20) having a low coefficient of thermal contraction and a high bias elongation to break. The yarns are formed of a mixture of natural and synthetic resin fibers and are subjected to heat treatment to effect the improved low coefficient of thermal contraction and high bias elongation to break.

    Abstract: An endless power transmission belt comprising a plurality of V-belt parts spaced laterally apart from one another and tie band having an improved structure and connecting the V-belt parts together. The V-belt part and the tie band are essentially made of elastomer material and fabrics. More specifically, the tie band is made up of at least two cord fabric layers and an elastomer material in which the cord fabric layers are embedded. An intermediate elastomer material layer is provided between the fabric layers. The fabric layers are made of cords which are extended obliquely with respect to the longitudinal axis of the belt in such a manner that the cords forming one fabric layer form an angle with the cords forming another fabric layer adjacent thereto. The upper surfaces of the plurality of V-belt parts are connected by the tie band thus constructed, to form one unit.

    Abstract: A raw edge type rubber V-belt having a tension section, a compression section and a tensile member layer extending in the longitudinal direction of the belt and embedded between the tension section and the compression section. A single or plural plies of rubbered fabric highly stretchable in the longitudinal direction of said belt are, in laminated form, embedded in the lower portion of the compression section with a rubber layer on each fabric, and bonded to the upper surface of the tension section. Short fibers are mixed in a compression rubber layer under the tensile member layer and in a tension rubber layer on the tensile member layer in such a manner that the short fibers extend in the lateral direction of the belt.

    Abstract: A raw edge type endless power transmission V-belt having a first rubber layer, a second rubber layer, an adhesion rubber layer in which a tensile member is embedded in the form of a layer and which provided between said first and second rubber layer. The top and bottom surfaces of the V-belt are covered with cover fabrics. The layer of the tensile member is obtained by spirally winding a continuous cord, and a line connecting the centers of the cords laterally of the V-belt is a part by 2 to 20% of the thickness of the V-belt from the center line of the V-belt.
