  • Patent number: 7403801
Abstract: The Bookmark list display control program rearranges and reads the sites in the Bookmark storage area in reverse chronological order of access to sites, then displays the Bookmark list (step 51). Next, it is determined whether the target (desired) site or URL is present or not (step 52). In case the target site or URL is present, the user is automatically connected to the target site or URL by selecting the target site or URL (step 53). In case the target site or URL is absent in step 52, the user selects the Bookmark input mode and enters a new site or URL (step 54). Then, the user stores the new site or URL in the Bookmark storage area, or in case the memory of the area is insufficient, the user overwrites an old Bookmark site with this new site (step 55).

  • Patent number: 6678534
Abstract: When any application can be operated, a control section first indexes a table for defining validness or invalidness of an operating key corresponding to an application in a memory. Then, if the control section detects that any key is operated, the control section starts to turn ON a back light. Thereafter, the control section detects that any key is manipulated again before a lighting time set by a timer elapses, and it is decided whether the operation section is a valid key. If the valid key is operated, a first back light for illuminating the most neighboring part of the valid key and a second back light for illuminating a display section are continuously turned ON until the lighting time set by the timer of the control section elapses. However, if the lighting time set by the timer of the control section elapses, the back light is turned OFF.

  • Patent number: 6580436
Abstract: A terminal device for mobile communication and a screen display method are provided for appropriately correcting the amount of scrolling so that a display element should not be displayed across the boundary of a display screen when the screen with a plurality of display elements of different types mixed therein is scrolled. A scroll instruction unit outputs a scroll instruction such as one-line vertical scrolling based on the operation inputted by a user through an input unit. A basic amount determination unit determines a basic moving amount according to the scroll instruction. A display element searching unit calculates a provisional display start position based on the basic moving amount and a display start position held in a display element information holding unit, and searches for a display element that is supposed to be displayed across the boundary of the display screen.
