  • Patent number: 12620739
Abstract: Embodiments of a highly-repairable, non-soldered Universal Serial Bus (USB) connector are described. In some non-limiting embodiments, a USB connector assembly comprises: a mounting bracket configured to removably attach to a printed circuit board (PCB); and a plurality of spring contacts disposed at least in part within the mounting bracket, wherein the spring contacts are configured to electrically connect to corresponding ones of a plurality of electrical contact pads of the PCB, and wherein an individual spring contact of the plurality of spring contacts applies a contact force to a corresponding one of the electrical contact pads of the PCB upon assembly of the mounting bracket onto the PCB.

  • Publication number: 20260121350
Abstract: A mating assist mechanism includes a first structure and a second structure. The first structure has two guide portions and a first piece. The second structure has a second piece. The guide portion guides a second connector toward a first connector when the second connector is mated with the first connector. At least one of the first piece and the second piece is resiliently deformable. The first piece has a first protrusion. The second piece has a second protrusion. When the second connector is mated with the first connector, the first protrusion and the second protrusion are brought into abutment with each other and then pass over each other in accordance with resilient deformation of at least one of the first piece and the second piece, and thereby a click feeling is generated.

  • Publication number: 20260088563
Abstract: A guide component has a base formed with an accommodation portion. The accommodation portion has two first sides each extending along a first horizontal direction and two second sides each extending along a second horizontal direction. The accommodation portion is provided with a first press-fit projection projecting inward in the horizontal plane from the first side and a second press-fit projection projecting inward in the horizontal plane from the second side. Under an attached state where the guide component is attached to a connector, the connector is located in the accommodation portion, is pressed against the first press-fit projection in the second horizontal direction and is pressed against the second press-fit projection in the first horizontal direction.

  • Publication number: 20250379381
Abstract: An interface connector where a ground path can be easily formed is provided. An interface connector according to the present disclosure includes a housing and a contact assembly. The housing is a shell block including a plurality of parts having different thicknesses and has a cutout which accommodates the contact assembly. The contact assembly includes contacts, a metal plate, and an insulating member that holds the contacts and the metal plate. A protruding part of the metal plate protruded from the insulating member is welded to a first flat part of the cutout of the housing in a state in which the protruding part of the metal plate is placed on the first flat part of the cutout of the housing.

  • Patent number: 12413002
Abstract: When an upper contact part is not in contact with a signal pad, a lower contact part is not in contact with a short-circuiting pad, and when the upper contact part comes into contact with the signal pad and an elastic deformation part is elastically deformed, the lower contact part comes into contact with the short-circuiting pad. The current path length from the upper contact part to the lower contact part is shorter than the current path length from the upper contact part to a soldering part.
