  • Patent number: 9439108
Abstract: In order to solve the problem that a handover failure rate of a mobile terminal becomes high in a case in which the number of the cells described in the adjacent cell list does not meet a specific condition, for example, a case in which many cells which have a small coverage area are included in the list, a case in which many highly loaded cells are included in the list, or the like, a management method includes a collection step in which information about a cell of a wireless base station is collected from the wireless base station which manages the cell and a list change step in which a list is changed based on the collected information about the cell so that the number of the cells described in the list of the cells adjacent to the wireless base station may meet a specific condition.

  • Patent number: 9253700
Abstract: To achieve load distribution in a short period of time, a mobile communication system includes a mobile terminal (505), a radio base station (503), and a relay base station (504) that relays radio communication between the radio base station (503) and the mobile terminal (505). In the mobile communication system having such a configuration, the radio base station (503) includes control means for handing over the subordinate relay base station (504) to a neighboring radio base station (503) when a load on the radio base station is greater than a predetermined threshold. The control means is preferably configured to confirm whether the neighboring base station (503) can accept the relay base station (504) upon handover of the relay base station (504).

  • Patent number: 9232446
Abstract: In order to reduce the occurrence of call loss in mobile stations while suppressing degradation of communication quality in a handover destination cell, a communication unit (11) forming an eNB (10) receives, from another eNB located adjacent to an own eNB, a first reception quality in a cell formed by the own eNB and a second reception quality in a cell formed by the another eNB. The first reception quality and the second reception quality are measured by one or more UE that are in radio communication with the another eNB. A control unit (12) accepts a call associated with UE which satisfies a first condition that the first reception quality is higher than the second reception quality in preference to a call associated with UE which does not satisfy the first condition.

  • Publication number: 20150117403
Abstract: [Problem] A mobile terminal attempting handover from a cell may execute handover to a cell managed by a base station connected to a core network other than that the current cell belongs to. In such a case, the time needed for the handover process on the mobile terminal becomes longer than the time for handover between cells belonging to the same core network. [Solution to problem] A base station includes: a storage unit that stores a list of cells neighboring to a cell managed by the base station in a manner to correlate each of the neighbor cells with an identifier for identifying a core network the neighbor cell belongs to; a reception unit that receives, from a base station neighboring to the own base station, a list stored by the neighbor base station; and a control unit that uses the received list as a list with respect to the cell managed by the own base station.
