Abstract: A deep learning training method includes obtaining a training set, a first neural network, and a second neural network, where shortcut connections included in the first neural network are less than shortcut connections included in the second neural network; performing at least one time of iterative training on the first neural network based on the training set, to obtain a trained first neural network, where any iterative training includes: using a first output of at least one first intermediate layer in the first neural network as an input of at least one network layer in the second neural network, to obtain an output result of the at least one network layer; and updating the first neural network according to a first loss function.

The communication interface may receive configuration information associated with a microgrid and one or more distributed energy resources (DER). The processor may generate a dispatch profile to control one or more of the DER based on a detected outage, a type of DER connected to the microgrid, a set of default operating conditions, and a user preference. According to one aspect, the processor may generate the dispatch profile based on the dispatch command, a status of a DER of one or more of the DER connected to the microgrid, and a user preference. The dispatch command may include a demand response (DR) request or a vehicle grid integration (VGI) request for real power or reactive power from the microgrid.

Abstract: A venue location identification system for vehicular access control is described. In one embodiment, the system includes at least one access control device. The access control device includes a processor, a communication interface, and an actuating mechanism configured to control a barrier for providing access to a parking area. The system also includes a user device associated with a vehicle. The user device is configured to communicate with the communication interface of the at least one access control device using ultra wideband (UWB) communication technology. The user device is further configured to transmit an access request to the access control device via UWB requesting permission to leave the parking area as the vehicle approaches the barrier.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods, and computer-readable mediums for rental vehicle driver verification. In an example, a system may include a camera configured to capture an image of a user in a vehicle. The system may obtain, from a vehicle rental system, vehicle rental information corresponding to the vehicle, the vehicle rental information including rental reservations scheduled for the vehicle. The system may also determine whether the user is a designated driver of the vehicle based on the image of the user and the vehicle rental information. The system may also indicate to the user that the vehicle is an incorrect rental vehicle in response to determining that the user is not the designated driver.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for adjusting a front passenger seat in a motor vehicle includes the steps of identifying a user identification apparatus proximate to the motor vehicle, and accessing a user profile associated with the user identification apparatus. The user profile includes a predetermined home position for the front passenger seat. If the front passenger seat is unoccupied, the position of the front passenger seat is adjusted to the predetermined home position.

The computer readable medium includes computer program code for retrieving user data from the mobile communication device, the user data including data associated with a particular user of the mobile communication device, parsing a user name from the user data by identifying possessive indicia in the user data and selecting the user name associated with the possessive indicia, transmitting the parsed user name for confirmation from the user, generating the user profile including the user name, storing the user profile in the non-transitory computer medium, and storing at least one user setting associated with the motor vehicle in the user profile.
