    Abstract: Methods for making biofuels, such as biokerosene, from various alcohols and nonanoic acid, a primary product of the ozonolysis of oleic acid. The products exhibit excellent low-temperature performance. Cloud points of the nonanoic esters range from ?35 to ?70° C. This super low-temperature performance shows the potential for replacing winter-season diesel, kerosene, and jet fuels. The products also show excellent oxidation stability and low greenhouse gas emissions. The energy densities of the products increase with the carbon atoms in the alcohols and are less than current biodiesel. The products generally have flash points higher than 90° C., indicating safer handling and storage. Compared to current biodiesel, the products have no issues with the cold soak filtration test.

    Abstract: A method for predicting yield and composition changes during urea inclusion fractionation to select a fatty acid methyl ester source for biofuel. The method can include heating a solid urea inclusion compound to a decomposition temperature, allowing the solid urea inclusion compound to decompose, heating again to a melting temperature, allowing the solid urea to melt, cooling to the decomposition temperature, and cooling again to a temperature below the decomposition temperature. Each heating, cooling, decomposing, and melting step can have its change in enthalpy and entropy recorded. A thermodynamic model can be calculated using the recorded changes in enthalpy and entropy. The thermodynamic model can predict a yield and composition of the solid urea inclusion compound and can be used to select a fatty acid methyl ester source using the predicted yield and composition.

Hence, by using the apparatus, after the drilling of a hole to be drilled is completed, the station switching module is rotated by a fixed angle so that station states of the spindle module and the pin insertion module can be switched, the interference-fit pin insertion of the hi-lock bolts can be completed, and the anti-fatigue property and assembly efficiency can be improved.

Nano ZnO is regarded as the effective antibacterial agents because of its distinctive photocatalytic properties. However, the fast recombination of photo-generated electrons and holes on the surface of ZnO seriously affects antibacterial activities. Therefore, numerous methods such as controlling the size and morphology of ZnO, doping metal and nonmetal ions, coupling semiconductor, constructing heterojunction and surface modification have been used to increase the activity of ZnO. The application aims to synthesize a stable low-dimensional ZnO/GQD aqueous with excellent dispersity and enhanced absorption to further improve its antibacterial activities. Hence, amphiphilic polyethylenimine-functionalized graphene quantum dots (GQD-PEI) was prepared firstly, which was then used to transfer ZnO NPs to water to obtain water-soluble ZnO/GODs-PEI composites.
