  • Patent number: 12386424
Abstract: Disclosed in the present invention is a method for decoding Chinese character writing for an invasive brain-computer interface. In a practical application, a corresponding motor neural signal is divided into two states of a writing stroke and a writing stroke break in view of inconsistency of the writing stroke and the writing stroke break during Chinese character writing, and different filters are trained. A hidden markov model (HMM algorithm) and a Viterbi algorithm are used to judge a task state of the motor neural signal, and the corresponding signal is put into a corresponding decoder. The present invention effectively reduces influence of difference of neural data in different states on the decoder, and improves the performance and robustness of the decoder.

  • Publication number: 20250054144
Abstract: Immune context scores are calculated for tumor tissue samples using continuous scoring functions. Feature metrics for at least one immune cell marker are calculated for a region or regions of interest, the feature metrics including at least a quantitative measure of human CD3 or total lymphocyte counts. A continuous scoring function is then applied to a feature vector including the feature metric and at least one additional metric related to an immunological biomarker, the output of which is an immune context score. The immune context score may then be plotted as a function of a diagnostic or treatment metric, such as a prognostic metric (e.g. overall survival, disease-specific survival, progression-free survival) or a predictive metric (e.g. likelihood of response to a particular treatment course). The immune context score may then be incorporated into diagnostic and/or treatment decisions.

  • Patent number: 10540095
Abstract: A storage controller coupled to a storage array comprising one or more storage devices performs a uniform sampling of data storage items in an append-only file system to identify a sample set and identifies at least two data storage item groups based on an age of the data storage items. The storage controller performs a garbage collection process on the append-only file system to identify stale data storage items in a first logical storage segment and active data storage items in the first logical storage segment and writes a first active data storage item associated with a first group of the two data storage item groups from the first logical storage segment to a second logical storage segment, the second logic storage segment comprising other active data storage items associated with the first group.
