The cylindrical battery cell includes an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate and a second electrode plate wound in a direction with a separator interposed between the first electrode plate and the second electrode plate; a battery can having an open portion to accommodate the electrode assembly and a partially closed portion on an opposite side, and electrically connected to the second electrode plate; a current collector plate electrically connected to the first electrode plate; a cell terminal connected to the current collector plate through a through-hole of the closed portion of the battery can; and an insulator having a center hole through which a bottom of the cell terminal is exposed, and interposed between the battery can and the current collector plate.
