Abstract: A curtain airbag device attached to a roof side rail portion of an upper portion of a vehicle includes: a bag body configured to be inflated by being supplied with inflation gas to be deployed along a side wall of the vehicle in a downward direction to a lower portion of a window portion provided on the side wall so as to cover the window portion; and a tether that is a belt-shaped member with two end portions being fixed to front and rear of the window portion, and with a part other than the two end portions being fixed to a bag lower portion including a lower end of the bag body. The bag body includes an inflation portion and a non-inflation portion. In a state in which the bag body is deployed, an inflation portion lower end does not cover a lower edge portion of the window portion.
