    Abstract: Disclosed is a solar cell wherein a diffusion region containing an impurity of a second conductivity type provided on a light-receiving surface side of a silicon substrate containing an impurity of a first conductivity type has a first diffusion region and second diffusion regions. Surfaces of the second diffusion regions are higher in concentration of the impurity of the second conductivity type than a surface of the first diffusion region. The second diffusion regions are arranged spaced apart from one another. A light-receiving surface electrode is connected to a plurality of the second diffusion regions.
