    Abstract: Provided is a slurry composition for an electrochemical device positive electrode that can form a positive electrode that can reduce IV resistance of an electrochemical device while also causing the electrochemical device to display excellent cycle characteristics and high-temperature storage characteristics. The slurry composition contains composite particles, a binder, and a dispersion medium. The composite particles include positive electrode active material particles and a carbon coating at least partially covering outer surfaces thereof. The amount of the carbon coating in the composite particles is 0.4 parts by mass to 3.5 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the positive electrode active material particles. The carbon coating has a Raman spectrum D/G ratio of 0.6 to 1.7. The binder includes a polymer A including a nitrile group-containing monomer unit and an alkylene structural unit and constituting a proportion of 0.05 mass % to 2.0 mass % among all solid content.
