The first wake-up signal includes first indication information, the first indication information indicates that at least one first target terminal subgroup is to be woken up, and the at least one first target terminal subgroup includes a first terminal subgroup to which the terminal belongs. The terminal determines, based on the first indication information, that the terminal is to be woken up. After the terminal determines, based on the first wake-up signal, that the first terminal subgroup to which the terminal belongs is a terminal subgroup that needs to be woken up, the terminal is woken up. In a paging process, the terminal does not need to continuously monitor a paging occasion, but monitors an associated paging occasion after being woken up.

Abstract: A method includes obtaining, by a positioning device, positioning integrity information of a terminal device from an access network device or the terminal device. The positioning integrity information indicates a positioning integrity requirement that is predicted by the access network device or the terminal device and that is of the terminal device in a first scenario. The method also includes performing, by the positioning device based on the positioning integrity information, an operation for positioning the terminal device, to meet the positioning integrity requirement of the terminal device in the first scenario.

Abstract: A re-establishment method includes: If a link failure occurs in a handover procedure of a terminal device, the terminal device releases configuration information used in a source cell. The terminal device further determines a re-establishment request message based on configuration information used in the target cell, and sends the re-establishment request message in a re-establishment cell. A method for selecting a re-establishment cell and releasing configuration information when a link failure occurs in a dual active protocol stack (DAPS) handover procedure of the terminal device reduces memory consumption of the terminal device.

In this method, configuration parameters of a terminal device are classified into a basic configuration parameter (namely, a common parameter of a plurality of features) and a configuration parameter of a specific feature (namely, a specific parameter of the specific feature), so that parameter configuration is independently performed for different features, the different features are decoupled from each other, and the configuration parameter of the specific feature can be added or deleted. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of communication technologies, and discloses a communication method and apparatus. The method includes: A terminal device receives an identifier of a filtering protocol version from an access network device, and then sends first capability information of the terminal device to the access network device based on the filtering protocol version. In this method, the terminal device may report capability information based on the filtering protocol version sent by the access network device. Compared with a manner in which the terminal device directly reports the capability information, this method can effectively reduce a communication problem caused by mismatch between a protocol version supported by the terminal device and a protocol version supported by the access network device and/or a protocol version supported by a core network device.
