  • Publication number: 20260049815
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for determining a pose. A process can include obtaining inertial measurement unit (IMU) data from an IMU associated with a device. The IMU data can be used to determine a propagated state associated with a state estimation engine, wherein the propagated state includes an initial orientation estimate corresponding to a pose of the device. The state estimation engine can comprise an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF). A predicted orientation measurement can be generated using a first machine learning network to process the IMU data and the initial orientation estimate included in the propagated state associated with the state estimation engine. An updated state associated with the state estimation engine can be determined based on using the predicted orientation measurement to update the propagated state. A device pose estimate can be determined based on the updated state associated with the state estimation engine.

  • Patent number: 12114360
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for selecting a PRACH occasion (RO) based on downlink quality, access congestion, latency (e.g., time to next available RO), beam correspondence, random access in previous transmissions, or combinations of these factors. The user equipment (UE) may detect access congestion of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) and select the less congested SSB in the RO selection. The UE may detect the access congestion by receiving a back-off indicator from the base station, detecting a contention resolution failure, or the number or media access control (MAC) subheaders in a random access response. In some cases, the ROs associated with different SSBs have different latencies and the UE may select the earliest available RO.

  • Publication number: 20240314681
Abstract: In mobility scenarios, a user equipment (UE) may enter an airplane mod in which the UE has limited or no connectivity to a network. Cell selection latency after terminating the airplane mode may result in a delay in providing network or communication services. Some aspects described herein enable a reduction in latency associated with cell selection after operation in a mobility scenario. For example, a UE may determine that the UE is operating in a mobility scenario, and perform a receive-only cell selection procedure. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may predict a destination associated with the mobility scenario and may identify a band list for performing a cell selection procedure. In this way, when the UE exits the mobility scenario, the UE reduces a time to successfully complete cell selection.

  • Patent number: 12021796
Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. In certain configurations, the apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus may receive configuration information for UL and DL transmissions from another device such as a base station. The apparatus may determine a maximum duty cycle of the UL transmission based on the configuration information. Based on the determined UL maximum duty cycle, the apparatus may determine a transmit power limit for the UL transmission. In one aspect, the apparatus may determine the UL transmit power limit by dividing the power corresponding to a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) limit by the determined maximum UL duty cycle. The apparatus may leverage the forward knowledge of the UL duty cycle to transmit at a power level that complies with the MPE limit while avoiding the poor uplink range associated with static power back-off.
