  • Publication number: 20230329690
Abstract: Provided is an eyelid opening device capable of easily and safely opening eyelids. When installing the eyelid opening device on eyelids, by closing the gripping portion, the opening direction of the first hooking portion and that of the second hooking portion are changed from the upper side or the lower side to the rear while narrowing the distance between the first hooking portion and the second hooking portion by the arm portion of the first arm portion and the second arm portion. Then, the gripping portion is opened to change the opening direction from the rear side to the upper side or the lower side by gradually increasing the distance between the first hooking portion and the second hooking portion via the first arm portion and the second arm portion.

  • Patent number: 11547553
Abstract: An accommodative intraocular lens capable of effectively exerting a focus adjustment function includes an optical portion and a plurality of support portions arranged around the optical portion. The support portion includes an anterior support portion and a posterior support portion, and the anterior support portion presses an anterior capsule and the posterior support portion presses a posterior capsule by the elastic force of the support portion. When the lens capsule is in a distance vision state or in a near vision state, as the pressing force of the anterior capsule against the anterior support portion increases or decreases, the anterior support portion deflects backward or returns forward while maintaining the radial position of the base end portion, so that the tip end portion of the anterior support portion moves backward or forward greatly while maintaining the radial position, and the optical portion moves backward or forward accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20220151769
Abstract: An accommodating intraocular lens includes a lens capsule expansion bag placed in a lens capsule whose anterior capsule has been incised in ophthalmic surgery. An intraocular lens is placed in the lens capsule expansion bag. The lens capsule expansion bag includes an anterior bag portion in contact with an anterior capsule, a posterior bag portion in contact with a posterior capsule, and an intermediate bag portion in contact with an equator. The intraocular lens includes an optical portion and a support portion. The support portion includes an anterior support portion in contact with the anterior bag portion and a posterior support portion in contact with the posterior bag portion. In response to the movement of the lens capsule, the lens capsule expansion bag deforms. The anterior support portion of the intraocular lens greatly deflects or returns accordingly, whereby the optical portion is largely moved in the anterior-posterior direction.

  • Patent number: 10130350
Abstract: The pupil expander 1 of the present invention is used to maintain a pupil in an expanded state during ophthalmologic surgery such as, e.g., cataract surgery. The pupil expander 1 is equipped with four arm sections 10 arranged serially in a manner as to form a circular shape as a whole and joint sections 20 which connect end sections of adjacent arm sections in a movable manner. With this, since the end sections of adjacent arm sections 10 are connected in a movable manner and therefore the entire shape of the pupil expander 1 can be deformed in an eye via the joint section 20, the pupil expander can be arranged safely without damaging an iris I, which enables easy and assured maintenance of a sufficiently expanded state of a pupil.

  • Patent number: 10105129
Abstract: The draining device 1 is provided with a main body 11 including two side wall members 111 each having a tip end section 111B curved downward, and a connecting portion 12 connecting the side wall members 111. In a manner such that at least upper portions of adjacent side wall members 111 are spaced at a certain distance d and side surfaces 111a of the adjacent side wall members 111 face each other, by connecting the side wall members 111 of the main body 11 with the connecting portion 12, a liquid draining passage R for draining a liquid to a space between adjacent side wall members 111. For this reason, since the liquid inflow cross-sectional area S1 and the passage cross-sectional area S2 increase, it becomes possible to introduce a large amount of liquid into the gap between the side wall members and pass therethrough.

  • Patent number: 10028823
Abstract: An intraocular lens includes a lens capsule expanding device and an optical portion. The lens capsule expanding device includes a front supporting portion to make contact with an inner surface of an anterior capsule. A rear supporting portion provided on a rear side of the front supporting portion makes contact with an inner surface of a posterior capsule while facing the front supporting portion. A connecting portion connects the front supporting portion and the rear supporting portion so as to have biasing force in a direction of separating the front supporting portion and the rear supporting portion from each other. Due to the biasing force, the front supporting portion presses the inner surface of the anterior capsule and the rear supporting portion presses the inner surface of the posterior capsule. The optical portion changes the curvature of a central portion according to movement of the connecting portion.

  • Publication number: 20160030239
Abstract: The purpose of the present invention is to provide a pupil expander capable of being safely arranged without damaging an iris and capable of maintaining a sufficiently expanded state of a pupil during ophthalmologic surgery such as cataract surgery. This pupil expander 1 is used for maintaining a pupil P in an expanded state during cataract surgery and include: four arm sections 10 serially arranged so as to form a circular shape; and coupling sections 20 each made of a plastic material and configured to connect end sections of adjacent arm sections 10. The end sections of adjacent arm sections 10 are connected to each other by the coupling section 20 made of a plastic material and, as a result, the overall shape of the pupil expander 1 changes inside an eye on the basis of deformation of the coupling section 20 and the overall shape of the pupil expander 1 is maintained after the deformation.
