  • Patent number: 11344455
Abstract: An absorbent article comprising a polymer sheet 4 in which a super absorbent polymer 12 exists between an upper layer sheet 10 arranged on the skin side and a lower layer sheet 11 arranged on the non-skin side is included. A fiber absorber 5 including pulp fiber is disposed adjacent to the surface on the skin side of an area corresponding to a body fluid discharge region H of a wearer in the polymer sheet 4. The super absorbent polymer 12 is not arranged in an area which overlaps with the fiber absorber 5, and is arranged in the other area. The water absorption rate of the absorbent article is not reduced even when water is repeatedly absorbed. Additionally, leakage is prevented, a wearing feeling is not worsened, and the adsorbent article may have a reduction in thickness.

  • Patent number: 11090201
Abstract: An absorbent article that prevents back flow and that uses cotton fibers in the surface sheet. The absorbent article is an incontinence pad having at least a medium volume for absorbing at least 20 cc of urine. A surface sheet is formed by coating, with a water-repellent, a spunlace non-woven fabric comprising 100 wt % of cotton fibers. The skin-facing surface side is provided with: a plurality of protrusions that extend along the longitudinal direction of the incontinence pad and are formed with gaps therebetween in the widthwise direction; and a plurality of recesses that extend along the longitudinal direction of the incontinence pad and are formed between adjacent protrusions. The recesses are formed thinner than the protrusions. A plurality of openings, which penetrate the incontinence pad from the front to the rear thereof, is formed along the recesses in at least a section (H) corresponding to an excretory opening.

  • Publication number: 20200375820
Abstract: This disclosure makes it possible to form embossments with good appearance even when a polymer sheet is used as an absorber and makes it possible to reliably implement the function of the embossments. A sanitary napkin (1) includes a polymer sheet (4) including a superabsorbent polymer (12) disposed between an upper-layer sheet (10) disposed on a skin side and a lower-layer sheet (11) disposed on a non-skin side, and an embossment (20) that is formed on a skin-side surface of the polymer sheet (4) along a longitudinal direction of the sanitary napkin (1) and is shaped like a discontinuous line formed by arranging compressed parts (21) and non-compressed parts (22) alternately. The ratio A:B of a length (A) of each of the compressed parts (21) to a length (B) of each of the non-compressed parts (22) is between 7:1 and 1:1.

  • Publication number: 20200276062
Abstract: An absorbent article includes a polymer sheet (4) where a superabsorbent polymer (12) is disposed between an upper layer sheet (10) disposed on a skin side and a lower layer sheet (11) disposed on a non-skin side. The diffusion area of the lower layer sheet (11) is 1500 mm2 or greater. The diffusion area is measured by an absorption test method including: (1) preparing a specimen with a size of 100 mm×100 mm, (2) placing a tip of a buret at a height of 10 mm above a surface of the specimen, and dropping one droplet of ion-exchanged water from the buret, and (3) after 3 minutes from a time when the droplet reaches the surface of the specimen, measuring, as the diffusion area, an area of a region of the surface of the specimen where a reflection from water is clearly visible.
