  • Publication number: 20020157922
Abstract: Belt guide members guide an upper belt and a lower belt for closing a slit of a cylinder tube. Belt holder sections for the upper belt and belt separators for separating the upper belt and the lower belt from each other are integrally formed in the belt guide members. Bearings for positioning a slider are disposed to engage with the belt guide members.

  • Patent number: 6412607
Abstract: In the expander (50) in a drum brake, when the brake is activated, the sleeve (56) is extended in the lateral directions in the drawing by the wedge (52) inserted within the housing (51), and the shoe engaged with the clip (58) is swung to press the lining (23) against the drum, and friction braking is performed. When the lining (23) wears away and the amount of movement of the sleeve (56) increases, the sleeve (56) is rotated by reciprocal action with a drive ring (62) that is engaged with the periphery of the sleeve and, thereby, the pressing screw (57) screwed thereon comes out by the amount of the increase of movement (the amount of wear on the lining). A flat surface (56c) is formed on the periphery of the sleeve and the detecting head (80) of the displacement detection apparatus detects the rotation of the sleeve (56).

  • Patent number: 6314863
Abstract: An end-closing structure for a rodless cylinder comprises an end cap and a sleeve. The end cap is fitted and inserted into a bore of a cylinder tube. Further, the sleeve is fitted and inserted into a through hole of the end cap through a hole of the cylinder tube. By means of inserting a spring pin into a hole through a hole, the bore is closed such that ends of the end cap and the cylinder tube are positioned substantially in the same plane surface.

  • Publication number: 20010009212
Abstract: In the expander 50 in a drum brake, when the brake is activated, the sleeve 56 is extended in the lateral directions in the drawing by the wedge 52 inserted within the housing 51, and the shoe engaged with the clip 58 is swung to press the lining 23 against the drum, and friction braking is performed. When the lining 23 wears away and the amount of movement of the sleeve 56 increases, the sleeve 56 is rotated by reciprocal action with a drive ring 62 that is engaged with the periphery of the sleeve and, thereby, the pressing screw 57 screwed thereon comes out by the amount of the increase of movement (the amount of wear on the lining). A flat surface 56c is formed on the periphery of the sleeve and the detecting head 80 of the displacement detection apparatus detects the rotation of the sleeve 56. The controller performs a warning operation with the warning means when the cumulative number rotations of the sleeve 56 has reached a prescribed number of rotations.

  • Patent number: 5335583
Abstract: In a rodless cylinder, a moving member which is moved along a cylinder body is reduced in height for the sake of compactness and stability. A stopper is mounted on a stopper support base, which is also reduced in height to preclude the possibilities of obstructing movement of the moving member, and includes a stopper lock mechanism with an adjusting screw suitable for use with the stopper support base of low height. More specifically, in a rodless cylinder having a stopper support base mounted on top of a cylinder body, the stopper support base is provided with inclined surfaces at the opposite ends thereof symmetrically in face to face relation with downwardly-facing inclined surfaces formed on opposite lateral side portions of the cylinder body, and firmly fastened to the cylinder body by setting bolts and clamp members having inclined surfaces face to face with the inclined surfaces.

  • Patent number: 5305682
Abstract: In a rodless cylinder having a piston fitted in a cylinder body for reciprocating movement therein, and a moving member to be moved back and forth along the cylinder body in synchronism with the piston, there is provided a piping and wiring lead-out mechanism which permits the orientation in an arbitrary direction of not only the pipes of operating fluid pressure to and from pressure chambers of the cylinder but also of the lead wires of a piston position sensor switch. For these purposes, ports are opened on the lateral side, outer end and lower side of each of end plates provided at the opposite ends of the cylinder body to supply operating fluid pressure separately to a pair of pressure chambers in the cylinder. The ports to one pressure chamber are communicated with each other through passages provided in the end plate and cylinder body, while a groove is provided along an outer surface of the cylinder body for mounting a switch or switches thereon.

  • Patent number: 4700611
Abstract: A cushioning mechanism in a pneumatic cylinder utilizing a supplied air pressure, and a method of cushioning a piston in the pneumatic cylinder. Cushioning chambers are provided at opposite ends of a cylinder body of the pneumatic cylinder. Respective differential pressure valves and relief valves are provided between each of the cushioning chambers and an air supply. A cushioning member is disposed between each cushioning chamber and a cylinder bore. Air supplied under pressure from the air supply is stored in one of the cushioning chambers. When the piston is displaced to push the cushioning member, the air in the cushioning chamber is compressed to cushion the piston. As the cushioning member is moved a prescribed interval, the cushioning chamber is vented to atmosphere.
