Patent number: 10626660Abstract: An opening-and-closing body is configured to open and close an opening and to move in a closing direction across a first section of movement in which the opening-and-closing body moves against the weight of the opening-and-closing body and a second section of movement in which the weight of the opening-and-closing body assists the movement of the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction. A driver is configured to drive the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction. A predictor is configured to predict when the opening-and-closing body will shift from the first section of movement to the second section of movement as the driver drives the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2015Date of Patent: April 21, 2020Assignee: SHIROKI CORPORATIONInventors: Kenta Ikenori, Junya Kurita

Patent number: 10400485Abstract: A drive control apparatus includes an opening-and-closing body. A first driver drives the opening-and-closing body in a closing direction. A second driver moves the opening-and-closing body from a half-latched position to a fully-latched position. A fully-latched detector detects that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position. A stop detector detects whether a predetermined stopping condition has been satisfied for stopping the driving of the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction. A drive controller is configured to drive the opening-and-closing body via the first driver in the closing direction. Upon the fully-latched detector detecting that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position, the second driver ends operation and the first driver continues to drive the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction until the stop detector detects that the predetermined stopping condition is satisfied.Type: GrantFiled: February 10, 2015Date of Patent: September 3, 2019Assignee: SHIROKI CORPORATIONInventors: Junya Kurita, Kenta Ikenori

Publication number: 20170218677Abstract: An opening-and-closing body configured to open and close an opening moves across a first section in which the opening-and-closing body moves in the closing direction against its own weight and a second section in which the opening-and-closing body moves in the closing direction according to its own weight. The driver drives the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction continuously from the first section to the second section. The predictor predicts that the drive section of the opening-and-closing body will shift from the first section to the second section when the driver drives the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction toward the second section from the first section. The drive controller decreases the driving output of the driver for driving the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction according to the result of the prediction made by the predictor.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 17, 2015Publication date: August 3, 2017Applicant: SHIROKI CORPORATIONInventors: Kenta IKENORI, Junya KURITA

Publication number: 20170058573Abstract: A drive control apparatus for an opening-and-closing body includes an opening-and-closing body; a first driver which drives the opening-and-closing body in a closing direction; a second driver which draws in the opening-and-closing body from a half-latched position to a fully-latched position; a fully-latched detector which detects that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position; a stop detector which detects whether a predetermined stopping condition has been satisfied for stopping a driving of the opening-and-closing body in the closing direction; and a drive controller configured to drive the opening-and-closing body via the first driver in the closing direction, when the fully-latched detector detects that the opening-and-closing body has reached the fully-latched position, after the detection of a fully-latched state until the stop detector detects that a predetermined stopping condition is satisfied.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 10, 2015Publication date: March 2, 2017Applicant: SHIROKI CORPORATIONInventors: Junya KURITA, Kenta IKENORI

Patent number: 9506275Abstract: A lock device is achieved, which can prevent a battery, for supplying power to a microcomputer of an electronic control unit, from going flat by reducing the consumption power of the microcomputer, said lock device provided with a lock mechanism which holds an opening-and-closing body, for an opening in a vehicle body, an electronic control unit which operates in a microcomputer normal power mode or a microcomputer power-saving mode; and an open-state detector which detects the state of the lock mechanism. The electronic control unit transfers from the microcomputer normal power mode to the microcomputer power-saving mode when the open-state detector detects that the lock mechanism continuously remains at one of the opening state, the half-latched state and the fully-latched state for a predetermined period of time when operating during the microcomputer normal power mode.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2012Date of Patent: November 29, 2016Assignee: SHIROKI CORPORATIONInventors: Junya Kurita, Takao Koba, Takaharu Kiyama

Patent number: 9401255Abstract: An opening/closing-body drive device is achieved, in which a malfunction, caused by the electrical contacts of the relay switch freezing, can be reliably prevented from occurring. The control unit 60 includes a freeze determiner 61 which determines that the relay switch(es) is frozen when an opening/closing-body drive motor 27a does not drive a specified amount in accordance with opening/closing operational conditions of a back door 3 and when the temperature of the control unit 60 that is detected by a temperature detector 80 is lower or equal to a predetermined value; and a freeze releaser 62 which releases a frozen state of the relay switch(es) by intermittently supplying electric current for a predetermined number of times to the relay switch(es) without supplying a drive current to said opening/closing-body drive motor 27a, when said freeze determiner 61 determines that the relay switch(es) is frozen.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2012Date of Patent: July 26, 2016Assignees: SHIROKI CORPORATION, TACHIBANA ELETECH CO., LTD., NISSAN MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Junya Kurita, Hiroharu Ozawa, Hideaki Nakamura, Takao Koba, Takaharu Kiyama
