  • Publication number: 20230010726
Abstract: An electric work machine includes: a brushless motor including: a rotor having permanent magnets fixed to a rotor core; a stator core; one or more insulators fixed to the stator core; and a stator including coils mounted on the insulator(s); magnetic sensors, which detect the position of the rotor in a rotational direction by detecting the magnetic flux of the permanent magnets; a controller, which controls energization of the coils based in part on detection signals of the magnetic sensors; and an output part driven by the rotor. The permanent magnets are each a neodymium, sintered, plate magnet. The pole count (N) is the number of permanent magnets. The stator diameter (x) is the diameter of a surface of the stator core that faces the rotor in millimeters. The following condition is satisfied: 0.16x+2.5<N<0.23x+3.6.

  • Publication number: 20210099053
Abstract: A power tool (1; 90) includes a motor (17) having a stator (18) and a rotor (19). The stator (18) includes front and rear insulators (21, 22) respectively disposed forward and rearward of a stator core (20) in an axial direction thereof. At least six coils (23) are respectively wound on the stator (18) such that the coils (23) are wound through the front and rear insulators (21, 22). Winding wires (23a) respectively electrically connect circumferentially-adjacent pairs of the coils (23). A short circuiting device (25) short circuits respective pairs of windings (23a) that are located diagonally or diametrically across from one another.

  • Publication number: 20150180307
Abstract: A power tool includes a housing and a brushless motor, the brushless motor having a stator and a rotor inside the housing, the rotor including a rotor core having a plurality of axially extending through holes and a permanent magnet in each of the plurality of through holes. The rotor is provided with at least one positioning structure by which the rotor core can be held in a desired circumferential orientation while the permanent magnets are inserted into the through holes.
