  • Patent number: 8905184
Abstract: An electric power steering apparatus includes a steering column that is swung around a tilting spindle during tilt adjustment, a fixing bracket that supports the steering column through the tilting spindle, and an electric motor that is supported by the steering column and used as a steering auxiliary. The fixing bracket includes a pair of side plates facing each other with the steering shaft therebetween in a vehicle width direction and a connection member through which the pair of side plates are connected together. Either one of the pair of side plates is provided with a first restraining portion that restrains the steering column from rotating in a first rotation direction around the tilting spindle. The remaining one of the pair of side plates is provided with a second restraining portion that restrains the steering column from rotating in a second rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction.

  • Patent number: 7741745
Abstract: A resolver stator portion is attached to a resolver stator portion side attaching portion formed at a position facing to a resolver rotor portion via an elastic ring. Thus, it is possible to absorb a dimensional error of the resolver stator portion side attaching portion on the basis of an elastic deformation of the elastic ring even in the case that the dimensional error is generated in the resolver stator portion side attaching portion.

  • Publication number: 20030042064
Abstract: A steering rotation angle detecting apparatus of a power steering having a driving force of a motor applied to a steering pinion shaft via a speed reduction mechanism so as to assist a steering, is disclosed. The steering rotation angle detecting apparatus comprises a steering pinion shaft rotation position detecting means for detecting a rotation position of the steering pinion shaft with respect to a fixed member, a motor phase detecting means for detecting cyclic rotation phase states of the motor, and a steering rotation angle detecting means for detecting an absolute rotation angle over 360 degrees of the steering pinion shaft on the basis of a steering pinion shaft rotation position information detected by the steering pinion shaft rotation position detecting means and a motor phase information detected by the motor phase detecting means.
