    Abstract: A first UE may determine to communicate with a second UE, but may maintain or establish a RRC connection with a third UE upon determining that potential interference may occur between the first UE and the third UE. The potential inference may be a received interference in which the first UE receives interference from the third UE as a result of a communication between the third UE and a fourth UE, or a transmitted interference in which the first UE causes interference to the third UE as a result of a communication between the first UE and the second UE. The first UE may communicate mitigation information to the third UE through the RRC connection, where the interference mitigation information may be associated with the communication between the first UE and the second UE or the communication between the third UE and the fourth UE.

    Abstract: Techniques are described herein for periodically transmitting a first set of signals (e.g., reference signals) during an on-period of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle rather than during an off-period of the DRX cycle. Such techniques may enable a user equipment (UE) operating in a DRX mode to conserve additional power during the DRX cycle. A periodicity for transmitting the first set of signals during the on-period may be determined. The periodicity may indicate that every one-in-N DRX cycles, the first set of signals are to be transmitted during the on-period. During other DRX cycles, the first set of signals may be transmitted during the off-period. When the first set of signals are transmitted during the on-period, the UE may refrain from activating certain components during the off-period, thereby conserving power.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, devices, apparatus, and methods, including computer programs encoded on storage media, for sidelink FR2 beam alignment over data slots. A first UE may determine that a BPL with a second UE has degraded below a threshold and generate, based on the determination, a beam training frame for an on-demand beam training procedure. The beam training frame may include a first AGC symbol, SCI indicating that the beam training frame is for beam training, and one or more sets of an AGC symbol and beam sweeping reference signals. The first UE may transmit the beam training frame multiplexed with one or more data frames to the second UE. The second UE may receive the beam training frame for the on-demand beam training procedure based on a determination that the BPL with the first UE has degraded below the threshold.

The UE may decode at least one of the one or more multi-resolution messages based on receiving the broadcast signal from the broadcast transmitter, and may determine that a data rate associated with the broadcast signal is less than a threshold based on the decoding. The UE may transmit a signal querying the broadcast reception capability of a base station based on determining the data rate. In response to the query signal, the UE may receive a signal indicating a broadcast reception capability of the base station, and may communicate, with the base station, based on the broadcast reception capability of the base station.

A user equipment (UE) may be configured to perform positioning determination procedures, such as angle-based positioning procedures, with a base station to determine the position of the UE relative to the base station. To avoid positioning ambiguities that may result from antenna element spacing of an antenna module of the UE at some frequencies, such as mutual coupling or grating lobes, a UE may transmit a capability message indicating the capability of the UE related to the positioning procedures. In some cases, the UE may de-activate one or more antenna elements to increase the spacing between the antenna elements so as to mitigate mutual coupling when transmitting or receiving positioning reference signals. In some cases, the UE may request that the positioning reference signals be scheduled on some frequencies, not scheduled on other frequencies, or both.

    Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure to techniques for sidelink discovery in millimeter wave (e.g., Frequency Range 2 (FR2), or 24.25 GHz to 52.6 GHz) bands. For example, the disclosed techniques provides generating a sidelink discovery message including device information of the UE and non-device information. The sidelink discovery message is outputted for transmission. A sidelink connection with a receiver (Rx) UE can then be established after the output of the sidelink discovery message. Very often, beam training is required for FR2 communications. After beam sweep, the transmitter (Tx) UE and the Rx UE become aware of the primary beam directions and need to discover each other on a device level, by associating a beam pair link to a peer UE. As FR2 link often have high overhead to establish and maintain, the disclosed techniques enables device level and service level discovery using the discover message.
