  • Publication number: 20110305238
Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided for relaying an IP telephony service provided by a PBX server to extension telephones. The communication apparatus includes: a memory unit which stores a user-ID/Subscriber definition table in which a user-ID preassigned to each of the extension telephones is associated with a user password and a subscriber number of the PBX server which is available by the user-ID; and a portal controller which has a Web server function for providing the PCs with a portal service, and processes portal data from the PCs and the PBX server. The portal controller determines, in accordance with a user-ID and a user password which are entered from the PC, a subscriber number to be used by the user-ID, records an access state to the portal service into a portal service access table, and associates the extension telephone that corresponds to the user-ID with the portal service.

  • Patent number: 6651039
Abstract: A mechanical translation method includes a first step of dividing an input original sentence into a plurality of word trains in accordance with a predetermined division rule, a second step of converting the original sentence into a translated sentence for each divided word train, and a third step of displaying a pair of the original sentence and the translated sentence. In the first step, a predetermined symbol is inserted at partition positions of the divided original and translated sentences. In the third step, each word train of the divided original sentence and its corresponding translated sentence are displayed in a juxtaposed style. In the first step, the division operation is performed in accordance with a rule selected from a plurality of division rules. Also in the first step, the inserted symbol is different for each division rule.

  • Publication number: 20030206193
Abstract: The present invention provides a communication control system that includes a control terminal having a display unit for displaying an image and a controlled computer, and transmits image information stored in the computer to the terminal. The terminal transmits image display capability information of the terminal, and the computer then receives it. The computer processes the image information of the computer based on the image display capability information of the terminal, and transmits it to the terminal. The terminal receives the changed image information and displays it on the display unit. This process allows efficient communication. When such control is stored as a program in a storage medium, a general computer can be controlled.
