  • Patent number: 5086586
Abstract: A vehicle door assembly has a framed door and a window which is movable between open and closed positions. The window is biased outwardly toward an outer flange on the framed door by a first seal and is guided via pin guides secured to its side lower end by guide channels which include outwardly curved upper guide track sections which are supported for limited movement relative to the stationary lower guide tracks. The upper curved guide track sections are movable by the pin guides as the window approaches its closed position so the window will be substantiallly flush on all four sides with the door frame and outer door panel and thus this flushness is achieved irrespective of the tolerance variatons in the height of the frame and window.

  • Patent number: 4756577
Abstract: A lock mechanism for releasably locking a back rest of a vehicle seat assembly in either its normal upright position, a forward folded position or a rearward reclined position. The lock mechanism is located wholly within the seat area, is of a narrow width construction and functions to releasably detent the seat back in either of its normal upright position or forward folded position. It is also operable to allow rearward movement to a reclined position while detented in its normal upright position and to automatically return the seat back from a reclined position to its normal upright position. An inertia lock pendulum is provided to prevent movement of the seat back from any of its positions when the seat assembly is subjected to rapid deceleration forces.

  • Patent number: 4174865
Abstract: The drawings illustrate an automotive window regulator mechanism including a track having a substantially vertical track-section and a laterally extending section, a perforated plastic tape slidably mounted in the track, an actuator mechanism for driving the perforated tape along the track, a bracket arrangement secured to a window pane at the midpoint of the bottom edge thereof and connecting same to an end of the perforated tape for travel therewith up or down adjacent the vertical track-section. A counterbalance assembly is operatively connected between the laterally extending track section and the actuator mechanism for maintaining the tape taut to counterbalance the weight of the window pane.

  • Patent number: 4069616
Abstract: A window regulator mechanism for sequentially moving a plurality of window panels between open and closed positions including a pivotal gear sector adapted to rotate first through a first range of pivotal movement, while directly controlling the operation of a small vent window and which sequentially rotates through a second range of pivotal movement to directly control the operation of a second window. Lost motion means and a latch mechanism prevent simultaneous movement of the vent and the second window.
