  • Patent number: 8679070
Abstract: A modular administration appliance including a reusable base unit and a replaceable cartridge detachably connected to the base unit and including a container for a substance and a rotatable transmission element, the base unit including a drive device by which a rotary movement is transmitted between the base unit and the cartridge, and a driving element displaceable in a rotary movement about a rotational axis by the drive device, wherein a rotation of the transmission element causes the ejection of at least a portion of the substance from the container. In some embodiments, the transmission element at least partially surrounds the drive device, and/or the drive element and the transmission element are detachably connectable to each other for transmitting the rotational movement.

  • Patent number: 7564987
Abstract: A hearing aid includes a shaped body that is adapted to an individual auditory canal. A casting cavity is created from a central casting space element, an outer casting space element, and a canal element. The casting cavity is filled while inside the auditory canal. The central casting space element, which remains on the hearing aid, has an outer and an inner ring as well as a tubular and extendible membrane. The outer casting space element delimits the casting cavity on the outer face. After casting, the outer casting space element is replaced by an electronics module including a loudspeaker. The at least partly flexible canal element can hold the loudspeaker canal open, can be joined in a fixed or detachable manner to the outer casting space element, and can essentially close the opening of the inner ring and can limit the axial mobility of the inner ring.

  • Publication number: 20090099524
Abstract: A device for administering a substance, e.g. a medicament or a therapeutic agent, at a controllable administration rate, wherein the device includes a housing with a drive receptacle area for a drive unit, a substance receiving region to hold a substance container and an arrangement for hydraulic power transmission, which does not contribute to controlling the administration rate, located between the drive receptacle area and the substance receiving region, whereby the administration rate is controlled exclusively by the drive unit.

  • Publication number: 20060104467
Abstract: The invention relates to the production of a hearing aid comprising a shaped body that is adapted to an individual auditory canal. To this end, a casting cavity is created from a number of elements and this casting cavity is filled while inside the auditory canal. After the casting compound cures, said elements, with the exception of one, are removed and replaced by an electronics module (ora module having another function). The elements, which can be joined to one another by snap catches, consist of a central casting space element (1), an outer casting space element (2) and of a canal element (3). The central casting space element (1), which remains on the hearing aid, comprises an outer and an inner ring (1.2 and 1.3) as well as a tubular and extendible membrane (1.1), which extends between both rings and which radially delimits the casting cavity (5) with regard to the exterior. The outer casting space element (2) delimits the casting cavity on the outer face, is matched to the outer ring (1.

  • Patent number: 6249587
Abstract: A hearing aid is worn completely in the auditory canal to the individual form of which it is precisely adapted and it has element a body consisting of a soft material (Shore hardness A from 5 to 70). This body is the supporting element of the appliance and the components (10, 11, 12) serving the hearing function are cast into the body substantially floating. In its general condition, i.e. in a condition not yet adapted to an individual auditory canal, the hearing aid comprises an element which limits its axial length, this length-limiting element is e.g. a bar-shaped, provisional supporting element (18) protruding from the hearing aid on the inner and on the outer face and being fixed by a locking arrangement (25). After casting the body by filling the casting cavity (31) with a casting material when the general hearing aid is placed in an auditory canal or in a model of an auditory canal, the provisional supporting element (18) is removed leaving a ventilation channel (43) through the cast body.

  • Patent number: 6097826
Abstract: A hearing aid to be worn completely in the auditory canal and is adaptable to an individual auditory canal, is individualized by casting of a body in an auditory canal or in a model of an auditory canal. The body is cast in a casting cavity (15) at least partly confined by an extensible membrane (14). In its general condition, before or especially during casting, the inventive hearing aid carries a positioning tip (20) which surrounds the innermost part of the hearing aid radially completely. This positioning tip (20) which is designed to have the form of a tube or of a cap serves for centering the innermost part of the hearing aid when it is introduced into the auditory canal or into the model of such a canal for individualization. After the casting of the body the positioning tip (20) is removed.

  • Patent number: 6052473
Abstract: An elastic membrane (14) forms the circumferential surface of a hearing aid which is individualized by a body cast in an auditory canal or in a model of an auditory canal. The membrane (14) defines a casting cavity before and during the casting and surrounds the appliance closely in its individualized condition. The membrane is substantially tubular and has thickened, integrated fastening rings (32, 33) around its outer opening (30) and its inner opening (31) with which it is fastenable to other components of the hearing aid. The membrane has a thickness of ca. 0.2 mm in its central region and a thickness of e.g. 1 mm in the thicker end regions. The membrane (14) with the integrated fastening rings (32, 33) is advantageously produced from e.g. a thermoplastic elastomer or from a highly extensible silicon-plastic by injection moulding.
