  • Publication number: 20110115486
Abstract: A method for acquiring an image or spectrum of a subject or object residing within the magnetic field of a magnetic resonance apparatus, comprises the steps of: executing a predetermined pulse sequence for applying gradient magnetic fields and for coupling in electromagnetic excitation pulses to induce nuclear magnetic resonance within the subject or object; detecting an electromagnetic signal resulting from said magnetic resonance; and constructing at least one image or magnetic resonance spectrum of said subject or object from said detected electromagnetic signal. According to the invention, said coupling in of the electromagnetic excitation pulse and/or said detecting of the electromagnetic signal are carried out substantially by means of travelling electromagnetic waves.

  • Patent number: 4929724
Abstract: The invention is directed to a process for the production of uretdione group-containing compounds by dimerizing at least a part of the isocyanate groups of organic isocyanates in the presence of compounds containing phosphorus-nitrogen bonds as dimerization catalysts, characterized in that the reaction is carried out in the presence, as co-catalysts, of H-active organic compounds having a pKa-value of at least 6, which have at least one hydrogen atom bound to oxygen, sulphur or nitrogen. The invention also relates to the uretdione group-containing compounds obtained according to this process and to their use for the production of plastics materials according to the isocyanate-polyaddition process.

  • Patent number: 4727128
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a process for the preparation of a diisocyanate by reacting a diisocyanate with 2,2,4-trimethyl-pentanediol-(1,3) or reaction products of this diol which contain either ether or ester groups and optionally other diols or triols. The present invention is additionally directed to the diisocyanates produced by this process and to their use in one-component and two-component coating compositions.

  • Patent number: 4518761
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a new process for the preparation of mixed trimers by at least partly trimerizing the isocyanate groups of at least two organic isocyanates of a reactivity which differs in the sense of the trimerization reaction, in the presence of trimerization catalysts and optionally interrupting the trimerization reaction at the respectively desired degree of trimerization, in which process the less reactive isocyanate component is introduced, polymerization is then commenced in the presence of the catalyst with the trimerization of at least 0.1% of the isocyanate groups and the more reactive isocyanate component is finally metered into the reaction mixture thus obtained; the mixed trimers obtained according to this process; and the use of the mixed trimers having free isocyanate groups obtained by this process, optionally in a form blocked by blocking agents for organic polyisocyanates, as a starting material for the production of polyurethane plastics materials.
