    Abstract: A process for providing textile fabrics, especially polyamide carpeting, with an antistatic finish. The process comprises treating the fabrics with an aqueous film-forming preparation which contains an acid ester of phosphoric acid or phosphorous acid, said ester being derived from an aliphatic diol having an average molecular weight of 400 to 2600, wherein the diol is unetherified or etherified by C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkoxy.
