Abstract: The use of free-radically polymerized, UV-crosslinkable polymers which consist to the extent of at least 50% by weight of C2 to C18alkyl(meth)acrylates as adhesives for the bonding of carriers coated with the polymer on substrates, wherein from 0.1 to 30% by weight of the monomers of which said polymer is composed are monomers A without carboxylic acid or carboxylic anhydride groups and with a water solubility of more than 5 g of monomers per liter of water and said substrates are moist substrates, especially refrigerated substrates.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of producing seals and coatings, and of bonding tiles and floor coverings, in which aqueous dispersions containing at least 20% by weight of filler and comprising a polymer mixture of a) an acrylate polymer A having a K value of from 5 to 55 and a glass transition temperature of below −10° C. and b) an acrylate copolymer having a glass transition temperature of from −50 to +50° C., are applied as sealants, coating materials or single-side adhesives. The compositions which are used, based on the filler-containing dispersions of the polymer mixture, are notable in processing for improved fixing in the wet and dry state, high heat stability, good adhesion to rubber and, since they are essentially free from organic solvents, plasticizers and resins, by a high level of environment-friendliness.

Abstract: A polymer composed of from 5 to 95% by weight of a mixture of at least one C2-C4-alkyl acrylate and at least one C6-C12-alkyl acrylate (monomers a), from 5 to 30% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated compounds having a glass transition temperature of above 0° C. and containing no functional groups other than the ethylenically unsaturated group (monomers b), from 0 to 10% by weight of ethylenically unsaturated compounds having at least one acid group or acid anhydride group (monomers c), and from 0 to 60% by weight of further ethylenically unsaturated compounds (monomers d), the amounts by weight being based on the emulsion polymer.

Abstract: Volatile components are eliminated from polyacrylate melts by distilling off the volatile components by a process in which the volatile components are distilled off under reduced pressure, entraining agents are added to the melts at above 100.degree. C. and the melts are simultaneously circulated.
