Abstract: A folding wedge device for a bag packaging machine for continuously adjusting a bottom fold of a bag, comprising: a feed area for continuously feeding a flat packaging foil; a discharge area opposite the feed area for discharging the packaging foil folded centrally by means of the folding wedge device, a folding wedge with two folding wedge strips converging towards one another in a wedge shape from the feed area to the discharge area for deflecting the packaging foil; a counter tip arranged behind the folding wedge strips in the conveying direction of the packaging foil for inserting the bottom fold between the packaging foil sections folded centrally on top of one another, the folding wedge strips having end sections pointing towards the counter tip; wherein a lateral distance between the end sections of the folding wedge strips is infinitely adjustable.

Abstract: A method for treating flexible bags, comprising transporting, opening, filling and closing the bags in subsequent treatment stations in which the bags are transported in holding devices on several tracks from one treatment station to the next. In one embodiment of the present invention, the bags are transported in a continuous motion; during treatment, the respective treatment station is moved from its initial position synchronously with the motion of the bags; and after treatment, the respective treatment station is returned to its initial position.

Abstract: An apparatus for manufacturing a circular bag is configured with two anvil half-sections that are movable relative to each other from an open position to a closed position. An ultrasonic sealing tool is provided that is movable towards and away from the anvil half-sections and configured to seal a lid portion to a sleeve portion of the circular bag. In the closed position, the anvil half-sections define an interior space which is at least as large as the exterior circumference of the circular bag to be manufactured.

Abstract: An apparatus for automated manufacturing of a foil sleeve from a foil section. The apparatus includes a cylindrical shaping pipe that is configured as two separate halves, whereby one half of the shaping pipe is movable perpendicular to the axis of the shaping pipe and the other shaping pipe half is stationary. A folding apparatus includes two folding sections that are movable to and from the shaping pipe. The folding sections are configured to independently surround at least a portion of the cylindrical shaping pipe. A stationary sealing apparatus is disposed within the shaping pipe together with a movable sealing apparatus disposed on the exterior of the shaping pipe collaborate to generate a longitudinal sealed seam for a foil sleeve. The stationary shaping pipe half can include with a recess that defines the location of the longitudinal sealed seam.
