Abstract: A gauge includes a pipe section with a flattened section in which an opening through a wall of the pipe is provided, an adapter disposed in the opening, the adapter being adapted to receive a measuring probe, wherein the adapter fills the opening and is attached to the pipe section through a material fusion between the adapter and at least one of the pipe wall in the opening and a surface of the flattened section.

Abstract: A flexible endless belt for full-track vehicles comprises a belt body made of an elastomeric material, and a longitudinal pull-resistant carrier embedded therein. The soil-engaging contact surface of the belt body is provided with projections while the inner surface flat for contacting the cylindrical mantle surface of rollers of the drive assembly. For the form-locking drive of such a belt and for achieving a vibration and noise reduced drive, the inner surface is provided with bending-resistant transverse stays that are embedded in the belt body and end flush with the edges of the inner surface of the belt. The inner surface is provided with longitudinally extending recesses before and after the transverse stays for engaging teeth provided at the drive roller.

Abstract: This invention relates to a process for biologically converting dissolved nitrates into nitrogen, for instance for the denitrification of waste waters by microorganisms with the use of a liquified gas such as C.sub.3 - and/or C.sub.4 -hydrocarbon compounds. Said liquified gas is dissolved in the water which is to be denitrified.

Abstract: A connection for the ends of strength carriers in conveyor belts of synthetic material or rubber. The ends of the strength carriers in the form of strands or cables are inserted or clamped into casings or sleeves which are connected to each other in pairs in the manner of a hinge with a sleeve section containing the end of a cable.
