  • Patent number: 7843153
Abstract: A control system for controlling an adjustment device which is operated by electric motor in a motor vehicle includes an indirect anti-trapping system for detecting a trapping situation between an adjustment element, which is moved by the adjustment device in an adjustment movement along an adjustment path, and a vehicle element. The anti-trapping system stops or reverses the adjustment movement of the adjustment element if a defined threshold value for a mechanical running parameter—which results from the adjustment movement is exceeded. The anti-trapping system operates with an analysis unit for analyzing the adjustment movement of the adjustment element, wherein the control system is configured and embodied in such a way that by means of the analysis unit, in an analysis mode, the running parameters of the adjustment device can be checked for mechanical functional faults of the adjustment device.

  • Patent number: 7741800
Abstract: A control apparatus for an adjusting device in a motor vehicle is provided. The apparatus has a sensor, particularly a current sensor (S1), for generating a signal (U1 to U10, I1 to I3, ?t1 to ?t8) which is dependent on a motor movement by a motor in the adjusting device. The apparatus also has a power driver for controlling a motor current, and a processor (RE). The processor is designed and set up (i) to find a position (xm) from the sensor signal (U1 to U10, I1 to I3, ?t1 to ?t8), particularly from the ripple in the motor current, (ii) to associate a reference characteristic (Chref) of orderly signals (U1 to U10, I1 to I3, ?t1 to ?t8) from the sensor, particularly for the ripple, with a reference position (xref), (iii) to correct the position found (xm) on the basis of the reference characteristic (Chref) and the reference position (xref), and (iv) to control the motor current on the basis of the corrected position.

  • Publication number: 20080119995
Abstract: A control apparatus for an adjusting device in a motor vehicle has a sensor for generating a signal which is dependent on a drive movement of a drive in the adjusting device and has a processor which is set up for an evaluation function for a parameter in the time scale range of the transformed signal for the purpose of controlling the drive. This function is used to control an adjusting device in a motor vehicle, particularly a motor vehicle seat adjuster, a window lifter or a door opener. In this case, a signal generated on the basis of a drive movement of a drive in the adjusting device needs to be transformed. The processor preferably has a control function in order to control the drive on the basis of a parameter in the time scale range of the transformed signal.

  • Publication number: 20050203690
Abstract: The present invention relates to a controlling device of a regulating device of a power window. The controlling device includes at least one computer unit to control an actuator of the regulating device. The computer unit is set up to stop or initiate the stop of an adjusting motion of the actuator if a signal correlating to the rotary moment of the actuator exceeds a current response level. The signal correlating to the rotary moment of the actuator may be the driving power and/or its temporal change, the rotary frequency of the actuator and/or its temporal change and/or a power effecting the actuator and/or its change. The current response level is thereby not a fixed threshold value, but a changing value, which is changeable by the computer unit.
