Abstract: The invention relates to a filter layer containing an adsorbent for the directed removal of a substance which adversely affects the taste from a fluid composition, in particular from wine. As adsorbent, particular preference is given to using a zeolite which has the periodic structural unit (PSU) of faujasites, in particular with a ratio of Si/Al of ?5, preferably ?10. The filter layer of the invention is able to remove 2,4,6-trichloroanisole (mainly responsible for the cork taste) from wine; other advantageous flavours are, in contrast, largely not removed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a crossflow filter membrane comprising an active layer whose size is equal to or greater that 1 mm. Said crossflow filter membrane makes it possible to simultaneously carry out a crossflow filtration along a surface and a deep-bed filtration in the membrane depth. A connecting element for connecting module pads, a method for producing said connecting element and a crossflow filtering module are also disclosed. The connecting element supported by a filter pad surface on the side of unfiltered fluid closes an unfiltered fluid area for preventing a filtrate flowing and is provided with at least one closure element positively connectable to at least one other connecting element.

Abstract: Active ingredients encapsulated in liposomes which are characterized in that the active ingredient(s) are encapsulated in a proportion of from 1% by weight to 90% by weight based on the amount of active ingredient employed are claimed. These active ingredients are suitable in particular for the treatment of tumors, as food supplements, for producing contrast agents for imaging methods and for producing diagnostic agents for diseases.

Abstract: There is described a pump assembly which, in a unitary structure, comprises a pump proper and an electric pump drive motor, both contained in a common housing. A metal disc, forming part of the pump housing, is positioned at one end inside the common housing and supports a stationary shaft extending coaxially with and along the entire length of the pump assembly. On the stationary shaft journals the armature of the drive motor and the pump rotor member rotationally coupled to the armature.
