  • Publication number: 20150167179
Abstract: The invention relates to a photochemical cell (1) and to a method for the solar-driven decomposition of a starting material, in particular water or carbon dioxide, into a product gas bound therein, in particular hydrogen or carbon monoxide, comprising a supply line (7) for the starting material, a discharge line (9) for the obtained product gas, a first electrode (2) made of a photoelectrically active material and exposed to solar radiation (3?, 3?) during operation, and a second electrode (5), wherein the electrodes (2, 5) are connected to each other in a closed circuit by means of an electron conductor (4) for transporting electrons excited by the solar radiation (3?, 3?) in the first electrode (2) and an ion conductor (6) for transporting ions produced in the decomposition of the starting material, wherein an electrolyte made of a heat-resistant solid material and arranged between the electrodes (2, 5) is provided as the ion conductor (6).

  • Patent number: 8182154
Abstract: The invention relates to a fluid dynamic bearing system that comprises at least one stationary part that has a shaft and two bearing plates disposed on the shaft at a mutual spacing, and at least one rotating part that is supported so as to rotate about a rotational axis with respect to the stationary part, and comprises a bearing bush and a sleeve enclosing the bearing bush. A bearing gap filled with bearing fluid is provided between the parts and at least one sealing gap for sealing the bearing gap that extends concentric to the rotational axis. The bearing comprises at least one fluid dynamic radial bearing and two fluid dynamic axial bearings and at least one recirculation channel that connects the two axial bearing regions to each other.

  • Patent number: 7982349
Abstract: The invention relates to a spindle motor having a fluid dynamic bearing system comprising axial and radial bearings that contains a rotor component (14) which encloses a stationary shaft (12), which in turn is connected at both its ends to axially aligned bearing parts (16; 18) that are fashioned such that they form capillary sealing gaps (32; 34), a recirculation channel (28) filled with bearing fluid that connects the remote regions of the bearing to each other, and an electromagnetic drive system (42, 44) for driving the rotor component.
