  • Patent number: 9239035
Abstract: A connection arrangement for a fuel line. The fuel line has a pressure nipple having a forward a sealing surface and a rear pressure receiving surface. A cap screw element projects into the passage with a tube portion which when tightened exerts on a pressure transmission arrangement a force which is directed axially towards the nozzle holder and which is transmitted to the pressure receiving surface of the pressure nipple to press its sealing surface against a counterpart sealing surface on the nozzle holder. A sealing arrangement which seals off a first free space between the outside wall of the fuel line and the inside wall of the pressure transmission arrangement and a second free space between the outside wall of the pressure transmission arrangement and the inside wall of the passage relative to the exterior is positioned completely in the interior of the passage.

  • Patent number: 8695572
Abstract: There is described a connecting arrangement for a fuel line (5) which extends through a passage (4) of a cylinder head (1) to a nozzle holder (2) to feed fuel to an injection nozzle. The fuel line has a pressure nipple (6) which on its front side has a sealing surface (8) and on its rear side a pressure receiving surface. A cap screw element (15) which surrounds the fuel line and is screwed to the inlet opening (3) of the passage projects into the passage with an axially directed tube portion (17) which in the tightened condition exerts on a pressure transmission arrangement a force which is directed axially towards the nozzle holder and which is transmitted to the pressure receiving surface of the pressure nipple to press its sealing surface against a counterpart sealing surface (10) on the nozzle holder.

  • Patent number: 5775302
Abstract: A fuel distributor pipe (1) which can be subjected to a high internal pressure loading includes at least one connecting arrangement (12) serving for releasably connecting a branch pipe (3) and having a connecting bore (5) which extends radially through the wall of the distributor pipe and which has an inner portion (8) and an adjoining, outer portion (9) which enlarges in a hollow-conical configuration, a screwthreaded socket (12) which is connected to the distributor pipe and whose internal bore (15) extending therethrough continues the connecting bore and serves to receive the branch pipe, and a pressing element (22) having a pressure surface (23) which, when the pressing element is screwed on to a counter-pressure surface (24) provided on a thickened portion (25) of the branch pipe, exerts a force by which a counter-sealing surface (16) of the branch pipe is pressed against the conical wall (18) of the outer portion of the connecting bore.

  • Patent number: 4881763
Abstract: A fuel injection line for an internal combustion engine is provided at least one of its ends with a compression nipple formed thereon by upsetting, with a sealing taper portion having a sealing surface at a taper angle relative to the axis of the nipple. The taper portion, with plastic deformation of its sealing surface, serves for sealing against a hollow taper surface, with a corresponding taper angle, of a co-operating portion which is harder than the sealing surface of the nipple. Its rearward bearing surface which is intended for bearing against a hollow taper surface of a cap nut for fixing the nipple is in the form of a spherical segment which blends into the outside peripheral surface of the adjoining pipeline by way of a rounded portion.

  • Patent number: 4705306
Abstract: An injection line connection for internal combustion engines having for each pressure connection a connecting fitting which hitherto was upset out of the material of the injection line but which is still defective and which can be pressed by a cap nut, by way of a pressure ring, against an internal taper portion of a connecting member which carries the cap nut, is also suitable for thinner injection lines, free of disadvantages, by virtue of the following features, some of which are known and which are reproduced here by way of abstract:(a) the injection line (1) is a wall thickness in the range of from 1/5 to 1/3 of its outside diameter (D);(b) each pressure ring (6) is provided with a support projection (10) which is rounded off at the end towards the connecting fitting and which is of a tapered configuration along its outside periphery, while the associated connecting fitting (3) comprises the end of the injection line (1) which is flanged over outwardly about the support projection (10) and there forms th

  • Patent number: 4669156
Abstract: A pipe clip comprising resilient material which comprises a mounting portion (1) with at least two clamps (3, 4) having clamping limb portions (3a, 3b; 4a, 4b) which can be resiliently spread open for the insertion of conduits (2), the clamps being adapted to the conduit cross-section. The clip has at least one stirrup portion (6) which engages over the clamps and which in its closed position snaps, with inner catches (7a, 9a) disposed on its two elastically spreadable limbs (7, 9), behind associated catches (3d, 4d) on the two mutually oppositely disposed outermost clamping limb portions (3a, 4b) of clamps (3, 4) which are arranged in side-by-side relationship in one plane. The stirrup portion is provided at each intermediate space between two clamps which are covered over thereby in the closed position thereof, with a bar portion (12) which in the closed position engages between said clamps and thereby resiliently spreads apart the two clamping limb portions (3b, 4a) which are most closely adjacent thereto.

  • Patent number: 4043506
Abstract: An injection line system wherein the injection lines for linking an injection pump with associated injection nozzles are coupled together in a predetermined manner to damp operational vibrations. At least one of the lines is provided with a bend so that a section of this line ahead of the bend and leading to its associated nozzle extends in a direction so as to oppose the flow path in a section of at least another one of the lines, the two sections being coupled together by means which damp operational vibrations.
