  • Publication number: 20100291848
Abstract: A device for separating paint overspray from the air of painting cubicles that is laden with overspray has in a housing at least one separating element, the surface of which is electrically conductive and is connected to one terminal of a high-voltage source. The separating element is assigned an electrode arrangement, which is connected to the other terminal of the high-voltage source. The air of the cubicle is made to flow past the separating element and the electrode arrangement in such a way that the overspray particles are colonized and deposited on the surface of the separating element. The separating element is moved continuously or intermittently, wherein a wiping device wipes off the overspray that is on the surface of the separating element. This can then be carried away by a suitable transporting device for disposal or re-use.

  • Patent number: 7399362
Abstract: An installation for powder coating articles, in particular vehicle bodies, comprises a coating booth, in which a plurality of application devices for the powder coating may be arranged. The articles to be coated are located during the coating process on a rotating rotary stand. Application devices located in various angular positions relative to the axis of the rotary stand may be charged with powder coatings of different colours. A collecting hopper is located at the bottom of the coating booth, the outlet opening of which collecting hopper may be brought as desired into connection with various recovery devices for powder overspray. To coat articles of different colours, the application devices charged with powder coating of the appropriate colour are activated in each case and the recovery device which collects the powder of the corresponding colour is brought into connection with the outlet opening of the collecting hopper.

  • Publication number: 20080115384
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for drying objects (2), especially painted vehicle bodies. According to said method, the objects (2) are displaced through a dry zone (8) wherein they are hardened in an inert gas atmosphere. Inert gas is continuously or intermittently removed from the dry zone (8), and guided along at least one surface which is cooled to a temperature below the dew point of the impurities contained in the inert gas. In this way, the impurities condense on the cooled surface. The relatively costly inert gas can thus be used for a long time.
