Patent number: 8668165Abstract: A wheel drive system for an aircraft that features at least one electric motor and at least one fuel cell as energy source for the electric motor, wherein the electric motor is coupleable to at least one wheel of at least one landing gear of the aircraft. The wheel drive system reduces the fuel consumption and lowers the emission of CO2 and pollutants—primarily carbon monoxide and unburned hydrocarbons. Persons, vehicles and other aircraft furthermore are not endangered by a jet blast while the aircraft is taxiing because the main engines do not have to be started until the take-off and landing strip is reached. The operation of the wheel drive system furthermore leads to a reduced noise pollution.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2009Date of Patent: March 11, 2014Assignee: Airbus Operations GmbHInventors: Thomas Rötger, Hans-Jürgen Heinrich, Jens-Dietrich Kurre

Publication number: 20090056857Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the continuous production of a multidirectional fabric web. The object of the invention is to create a method for the continuous production of a multidirectional fabric web that has a material layer running in a longitudinal direction and thus has sufficient stability against distortions in the fabric. This object is achieved according to the invention in that a continuous fold-winding process of at least one fiber layer running at an angle to the direction of extension of the fabric web to be produced takes place with the enclosing of at least one material web (1) running freely in the spread-out state in the production direction at least in the fold-winding zone. The invention can be used in the production of fabric webs that are used for example as a reinforcement of high-strength plastics.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 4, 2006Publication date: March 5, 2009Applicant: Karl Mayer Malimo Textilmachinenfabrik GmbH of ChemnitzInventors: Hans-Jurgen Heinrich, Jurgen Fodisch, Jan Grunert

Patent number: 6283019Abstract: In a method for engraving printing cylinders for rotogravure in an electronic engraving machine, at least two engraving lanes with predetermined lane widths lying side-by-side in an axial direction of the printing cylinder are engraved with a respectively allocated engraving element. Before the engraving, an axial reference position is predetermined for each engraving element, the axial spacings thereof relative to one another corresponding to the predetermined lane widths of the engraving lanes. The engraving elements are roughly positioned to their reference positions. Subsequently, the axial spacing errors between the reference positions and the actual position of the engraving element the rough positions are measured. During engraving, the engraving elements are moved along the printing cylinder with the faulty spacings relative to one another caused by their rough positioning.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2000Date of Patent: September 4, 2001Assignee: Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AGInventor: Jürgen Heinrich Fritz Dölves
