  • Patent number: 6918836
Abstract: Tripod joints have a joint outer part and a joint inner part which are in driving connection to each other with cylindrical rolling bodies being connected in between and axial displacement and pivotability being ensured. In this case, the rolling bodies extend in rectilinear, guiding running paths of the joint outer part. The rolling bodies are mounted in a manner such that they may be displaced longitudinally via the cages but to a restricted extend radially with respect to the pressure element. The radial extent of the running paths or mating surfaces is greater than the longitudinal extent of the rolling bodies. This enables the rolling bodies to move on a path in the shape of a circular arc. The arrangement provides an improved, mechanical transmission function of the tripod joint and reduced wear as a result. The tripod joint is suitable for the displaceable and pivotable driving connection of two shaft ends, e.g., in conjunction with drive trains or side shafts of motor vehicles.

  • Publication number: 20050003896
Abstract: In an arrangement of a running roller on a coupling journal of a coupling half of a moveable shaft coupling, a radial rolling bearing, the inner ring of which is connected to the coupling journal by a ball joint, is inserted into the running roller. In order to maintain an additional degree of freedom for the relative movements of the coupling journal in relation to the complementary coupling half in the directions perpendicular to the central axis of the latter, either the running face of the running roller is configured cylindrically or the rolling bearing is configured as a loose bearing.

  • Patent number: 6688146
Abstract: A rotary closure (1) having a carrying body (5) which carries a plug-in section (6) for plugging into a plug-in opening, in which the plug-in section (6) can be arrested by a retaining element (37) which can be rendered operational or non-operational by a rotary handgrip (4) being rotated, it being possible for the rotary handgrip (4) to be blocked by a combination lock having a plurality of number disks (10). For realizing a rotary closure which is of straightforward, compact construction and which can be used to close plug-in openings of objects of different configurations, there is provided a pull member (33) which can be displaced axially by the rotary handgrip (4) being rotated and is intended for actuating the retaining element (37).

  • Publication number: 20030089145
Abstract: The invention relates to a rotary closure (1) having a carrying body (5) which carries a plug-in section (6) for plugging into a plug-in opening, in which the plug-in section (6) can be arrested by means of a retaining element (37) which can be rendered operational or non-operational by virtue of a rotary handgrip (4) being rotated, it being possible for said rotary handgrip (4) to be blocked by means of a combination lock having a plurality of number disks (10). For the purpose of realizing a rotary closure which is of straightforward, compact construction and which can be used to close plug-in openings of objects of different configurations, the invention proposes a pull member (33) which can be displaced axially by virtue of the rotary handgrip (4) being rotated and is intended for actuating the retaining element (37).
