  • Patent number: 11912571
Abstract: In a cyclic anthraquinone process for producing hydrogen peroxide, which comprises a distillation unit with vapor compression for concentrating hydrogen peroxide, aqueous condensate from the distillation unit is passed over a bed of a cation exchange resin in its protonated from to provide a purified condensate, and the purified condensate is used as extractant for extracting hydrogen peroxide in the anthraquinone process, as column reflux for the distillation unit or as a diluent for diluting an aqueous hydrogen peroxide solution.

  • Patent number: 5532596
Abstract: In a method of nuclear magnetic resonance imaging according to the multislice technique, in addition to the usual signal producing sequence, a further radio frequency pulse of low bandwidth is utilized in the presence of a slice selection gradient which serves as a saturation pulse on one slice of the complete multiple slice packet being investigated, whereby the sequence order of saturation pulses and of the correspondingly read-out slices is shifted by a constant interval with respect to each other in such a fashion that the signal saturation of each read out signal results from the relaxation of the correspondingly read out signal in the time interval between the saturation pulse and the excitation of the corresponding slice. In this fashion the number of slices can be continuously increased, whereby the entire measuring time increases linearly with the slices while the image contrast remains constant.

  • Patent number: 5378136
Abstract: In the device for pre-shaping plasticated plastics material, a mold formed by two plates (5, 6) arranged so as to be stationary and by two rotatably mounted calibrating jaws (3, 4), and two levers (11, 12) with drive devices (15, 16), are arranged between two columns (1, 2) which are arranged in parallel. One of the calibration Jaws (3, 4) in each case is fastened to one end of the levers (11, 12) and one of the drive devices is fastened to their other end.

  • Patent number: 4893552
Abstract: A beverage making machine includes a housing with structure defining a storing receptacle receiving region and support structure above the storing receptacle receiving region, and filter case structure for releasable engagement with that support structure. The filter case structure has an outlet in which an anti-drip valve is disposed. A valve operating mechanism includes biasing means for biasing the valve to its closed position, and one piece lever structure is connected between the biasing means and the valve for moving the valve to its open position. The one piece lever structure is deflectable about a first axis of rotation by a stop on the housing as the filter case structure is inserted into the beverage making machine without opening said anti-drip valve, and, insertion of the storing receptacle beneath said filter case structure moves the lever about a second axis of rotation to open the anti-drip valve.

  • Patent number: 4460418
Abstract: In order to improve the weldability of aluminum strip or sheet by spot welding and to promote the use of these materials, in particular in the bodywork of automobiles, the strip or sheet, after being hot and cold rolled to an intermediate thickness of 1.5 to 2.5 times the final gauge, is etched in an alkaline solution, then cold rolled to final gauge using cold rolling lubricant and finally, if desired, heat treated.
