  • Patent number: 6309506
Abstract: Flexible surface structures (21, 22, 27) are often glued to one another with the application of pressure and heat. Known laminating devices for this purpose are limited in their efficiency. If greater laminating efficiency is to be achieved, an existing laminating device has to be exchanged for a more powerful laminating device. The invention proposes a laminating device constructed in modular fashion and having a plurality of successive laminating stations (12, 14). In this way, the laminating efficiency can be increased by adding new laminating stations (12, 14) to already existing laminating stations (12, 14) which thus do not need to be replaced. In addition, it is proposed that a drying station (17) be provided between successive laminating stations (12, 14), in which drying station the surface structures (21, 22) laminated in the first laminating station (12) are dried before they are joined with a further surface structure (27) in the succeeding second laminating station (14).

  • Patent number: 5261997
Abstract: Apparatuses for bonding textile sheet-like structures comprise a supporting disc (23) for receiving the textile pieces which are to be bonded or the ready bonded textile sheet-like structures (20), and covering means which cover these textile pieces. The covering means have to be folded up at least in a feed and discharge station (27) in order to give access to the textile sheet-like structures (20). This process requires a lot of work and unnecessarily extends the working cycle of the apparatus. In the apparatus according to the invention, the covering means is in the form of a flexible covering disc (26) which covers the supporting disc and which can be curved up in a positively guided manner at least in the region of the feed and discharge station (27). As a result, a circle segment (33) of the covering disc (26) is automatically lifted off the supporting disc (23) in the region of the feed and discharge station (27).

  • Patent number: 4923560
Abstract: Apparatus for connecting sheet-like textile articles or webs of material. The processing of different materials in apparatuses with heating plates of constant curvature has hitherto, whenever the material to be processed has been changed, required a corresponding exchange of the heating plates in order to ensure the best possible processing of the material as a result of a more or less pronounced curvature of these. The new apparatus of the invention makes this exchange of the heating plates unnecessary by providing a heating plate which is composed of individual hollow-section heating bodies and which is connected to a supporting trestle on which lifting members act in order to adjust the curvature. As a result of this arrangement, the curvature of the heating plate can be adjusted in a reproducible way and thus adapted to the particular requirements, even during operation.

  • Patent number: 4897147
Abstract: Bonding apparatuses for textile sheet-like structures especially outer fabric and interlining, are conventionally equipped with a heating station consisting of heating plates for the sheet-like structures conveyed between conveyor belts and also with a linear-pressure device consisting of two pressure rollers. Now, in addition, the linear-pressure device is followed by surface-pressure device to stabilize the adhesive anchoring of the bonding agents.

  • Patent number: 4560431
Abstract: The device for gluing sheet-like textile articles contains a spreading station (15), a heating station (16), a pressing station (17) and a take-off station (18). The plate-shaped heating zones consist of several hollow-profile heaters (25) which are arranged next to one another and on the rear contact side (28) of which panel heaters are attached, each panel heater having at least one electrically heatable heating device (heating wire). The heating wires can be controlled each individually or in groups.
