  • Patent number: 4034145
Abstract: Organic percarboxylic acids are stabilizers for anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions wherein the principal adhesive component is a (meth) acrylic acid ester and the catalyst is an organic peroxide. The percarboxylic acid improves the storage-stability of the adhesives in contact with air.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: July 5, 1977
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3991261
Abstract: Organic nitrones are stabilizers for anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions wherein the principal adhesive component is a (meth) acrylic acid ester and the catalyst is an organic peroxide. The nitrone improves the storage-stability of the adhesives in contact with air.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: November 9, 1976
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3988507
Abstract: Organic hydrazones (compounds which contain the =N--N=C= structure) are accelerators for aerostable anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions. They can be used with stabilizers. Preferred hydrazones are acetophenone hydrazone, methyl ethyl ketone hydrazone, methyl isobutyl ketone hydrazone. These provide rapid setting times with good ultimate strength, and have little adverse effect upon the storage stability of the compositions when access of molecular oxygen is permitted. Diacetyl hydrazone provides best ultimate strength.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: October 26, 1976
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3987019
Abstract: Organic sulfonyl hydrazones are accelerators for aerostable, anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions. They provide rapid setting of the adhesive with formation of bonds of good strength, and have little adverse effect upon the storage stability of the compositions when access of molecular oxygen is permitted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: October 19, 1976
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3987234
Abstract: Organic hydrazines are accelerators for aerostable, anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions. They can be used with stabilizers. Preferred hydrazines are aryl hydrazines which carry electronegative groups, for example 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazine.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: October 19, 1976
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3985943
Abstract: Organic disulfonamides are accelerators for aerostable, anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions. They provide rapid setting of the adhesive with formation of bonds of good strength, and have little adverse effect upon the storage stability of the compositions when access of molecular oxygen is permitted.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 25, 1975
Date of Patent: October 12, 1976
    Assignee: Henkel & Cie G.m.b.H.
Inventors: Werner Gruber, Joachim Galinke, Jurgen Keil
  • Patent number: 3984385
Abstract: Organic sulfonic acid hydrazides are accelerators for aerostable anaerobically-setting adhesive compositions. They can be used with stabilizers. Preferred hydrazides of this group are the aryl sulfonic acid hydrazides, for example benzene sulfonic acid hydrazide. These provide rapid setting time with good ultimate strength, and have little adverse effect on the storage stability of the compounds when access of air is permitted.
