  • Patent number: 8295447
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for storing and passing on multimedia messages for a multimedia call in a packet-switching telecommunication network (TN), with the called subscriber (B subscriber) having network access with a known and predetermined bandwidth to the telecommunication network (TN). In the situation where it is found (1) during the setting up of a multimedia call that the available bandwidth is too narrow (2, 3) because the called subscriber (B subscriber) is currently using a further multimedia service, the multimedia call is diverted (4) to a recording device (ABZ) which is available in the telecommunication network (TN). A calling subscriber (A subscriber) can then leave a multimedia message on the recording device (ABZ), which is then passed (5) to a local recording device (ABL) for the called subscriber (B subscriber) via the network access and using the bandwidth that is still available.

  • Patent number: 7260199
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and device for managing at least one capability characteristic (F1, F2, F3), which is subject to license or for managing at least one group (G1, G2, G3) of capability characteristics (F1, F2, F3), which are subject to license, of a switching system of a telecommunications network. According to the invention, at least one use counter (C, E1, E2) at a time is assigned to the at least one capability characteristic (F1, F2, F3) and/or to the at least one group (G1, G2, G3) of capability characteristics (F1, F2, F3). Said use counter indicates the current number of uses of the capability characteristic (F1, F2, F3) or of the group (G1, G2, G3) of capability characteristics (F1, F2, F3). A typical use of the invention involves the sharing of a switching system by an number of service providers.

  • Publication number: 20060222171
Abstract: For the recognition of a teleservice when establishing a call in a telephone network from a calling party to a target subscriber, on the basis of the call request, in an exchange of the network, preferably a target exchange assigned to the target subscriber, a signal identifier is temporarily applied to the requested call, for a duration that is at least sufficient for the calling party to send out a service call signal that indicates a teleservice. If a service call signal was received by the signal identification, this signal is evaluated with regard to the indicated service, and further handling of the call is carried out as a function of the service indicated in this manner.

  • Publication number: 20040179675
Abstract: In order to identify a teleservice during the setting up of a connection in a telephone network (PSTN) from a calling point (TXA) to a target subscriber (TNB), a signal recognition device (22) is temporarily applied to the requested connection on the basis of the call request (20) in a switching center of the network, preferably in a target switching center (VSB) associated with the target subscriber, said signal recognition device being sufficient at least for emitting a service call signal indicating a teleservice, via the calling point (TXA). When a service call signal is received (23) by the signal recognition device, said signal is evaluated in terms of the service indicated, and the connection (24-26) is further treated according to the service thus indicated.

  • Patent number: 6662202
Abstract: Data management systems of real-time systems are intended to provide user systems with rapid and consistent on-line management of various data generations. This is achieved by an access data structure which allows a generations management system (GMS) to carry out the management of various data generations on the basis of the same data objects already used on a previous occasion by a transaction management system (TMS) for carrying out transactions.

  • Publication number: 20030190033
Abstract: The invention relates to an exchange (1) for connecting telecommunications terminals (2a 2n) of subscribers to a telecommunications network, comprising subscriber lines (TL) via which the respective telecommunications terminals (2a 2n) are linked with the exchange (1). Said exchange (1) is operated by a first network operator and is used by further network operators. The subscriber lines (TL) and subscribers are associated with one of said network operators each and the subscribers select the exchange (1) via the telecommunications terminals (2a 2n) to establish a telecommunications link via the respective network operator The invention further relates to a method for operating an exchange that is used in the inventive exchange (1).
