  • Patent number: 9914254
Abstract: The invention relates to a film product (10) comprising a substantially continuous extension with an upper side (12), a lower side (14) and two laterally extending edges (16a), characterised in that a continuous edge portion (20a) made from a first material is arranged on each of the two edges (16a) and a continuous main portion (30) made from a second material is arranged between the edge portions (20a), the first material having a higher surface adhesion than the second material.

  • Publication number: 20150321818
Abstract: The invention relates to a compression packaging for a compressible item to be packaged (30), the packaging being formed from a film (10) which is stretched at least monoaxially. The film (10) has an enveloping portion (11), with which the item to be packaged (30) can be enclosed, and an edge reinforcement (15) which adjoins the enveloping portion (11) and can at least partially cover the item to be packaged (30) on the end thee (31) thereof. The edge reinforcement (15) has a film thickness which is greater than the film thickness of the enveloping portion (11), whereby an improved protection of the item to be packaged (30) in the region of the end face (31) can be achieved.

  • Publication number: 20070194501
Abstract: The invention describes a blown film extrusion system (1), which comprises, as its characteristics, a blowing head (5), which extrudes a film tube (9), further a pinch-off device (8), which pinches off the film tube (9), and additionally film guiding elements (7, 13, 27, 28) that guide the film tube (9) between its extrusion by the blowing head and its pinching off. The inventive aspect is that the guiding elements (7, 13, 27, 28) contain a porous, preferably microporous material.

  • Patent number: 5912022
Abstract: A device to lay flat a film tube drawn from an inflated film bubble generated in a film blowing system includes lay-flat platens which delimit the film bubble and which are placed against the bubble in the form of a wedge. The platens are positioned in front of the squeeze rollers of a film take-up and winding device and have slip elements arranged transversely relative to the take-up device. A driven reversing frame can be provided to hold the lay-flat platens, support the squeeze rollers, and support guide rollers and turning bars about its rotating axis in a pivoting fashion. In order to decrease the friction between the film tube which is to be laid flat and the lay-flat platens, particularly for a reversing take-up, the slip elements have hollow sections including air blast nozzles or air blast slots facing the film tube to be laid flat. The hollow sections can be connected by lines to an air blast source.

  • Patent number: 4701116
Abstract: An extrusion die for a blow head for making blown plastic films comprises inner and outer rings, which are made of a ferrous material, particularly steel, and define between them an annular orifice. Those surfaces of the inner and outer rings which define the die orifice are covered by a layer consisting of a metallic material having a higher thermal conductivity than steel.
