Abstract: A method for producing an animal feed or food item wherein at least one first flow of a viscous mass solidifies under corresponding first process conditions and at least one second flow of a mass of similar viscosity as the first flow, which second flow liquefies under corresponding second process conditions, are mixed in such a way that the individual flows are superimposed in layers. In a next step the flows are subjected, either sequentially or simultaneously, to the process conditions required for the solidification of the first flow and liquefaction of the second flow. A product produced in accordance with the method is described.

Abstract: A method for the manufacture of a container sealed in sterile manner by a foil and which comprises a container body and at least one closure placed over the foil, wherein prior to the closure of the container with the closure, a foil is laminated on the side of the closure facing the container interior after closing. The closure container closed with the closure undergoes a heat treatment at a temperature adequate to bond the foil to the wall of the container body in the vicinity of the closure and so extensively detach it from the closure that during a subsequent removal of the closure the foil remains adhering to the container body and a container manufacturable by said method.

Abstract: Process for producing a meat product, such as an animal food, particularly for domestic pets or the like, comprising substantially lumpy meat material on the one hand and a substantially liquid gravy on the other and which is filled into a container, such as a shell pack, tin can, etc., in which the meat raw material is cut up in frozen form to meat lumps, together with the gravy is filled into a base of the container and finally with the container base is connected in a substantially liquid and gas-tight manner a container top and in which a sterilization process takes place, characterized in that both the meat material, comprising the meat lumps, optionally accompanied by the addition of prefabricated moulded pieces with a meat or vegetable base, and the sauce or gravy, the latter in granule form, are compression moulded to a shaped article in frozen, solid, quasi-dry state and as such introduced into the base, as well as meat product produced by this process.
