  • Publication number: 20250121381
Abstract: A method for operating a separator for reducing cross-contaminations when processing products involves providing a separator insert on a frame or in a housing of the separator as a preassembled, exchangeable unit for insertion in stator units. The separator unit includes at least a rotor which is rotatable about an axis of rotation and has a drum and a drum wall, a separating means arranged in the drum, and at least one product feed line and two product discharge lines, the regions of the separator insert that come into contact with the product are partially or completely made of plastics material. A starting product to be separated is introduced into the separator. A first and a second product flow separated from the product mixture are discharged out of the separator through the two separate product discharge lines during a separation operation of the separator. The separation operation is stopped and residual liquid remaining in the drum is drained.

  • Patent number: 11660616
Abstract: A separator includes a preassembled drive and rotation system unit having an outer ring flange portion and a drive frame having an inner ring flange. The outer ring flange portion of the preassembled drive and rotation system unit is vertically connected to the inner ring flange of the drive frame. A rotatable drum is placed onto the preassembled drive and rotation system unit, in the drum at least one paring disk is arranged in a paring chamber, and one or more stacks each having one or more stackable intermediate elements are arranged between the inner ring flange and the outer ring flange portion in order to set an axial relative position at least between the drive frame and the drive and rotation system unit.

  • Patent number: 11389809
Abstract: A self-emptying separator includes a rotatable drum with an inlet, a liquid outlet, outlet openings for solid material, and a control system. A flowable starting product is cleared of the solids in continuous operation in a centrifugal field in the rotating drum. A continuous discharge of a clear phase is performed. A solid phase is discharged via the outlet openings from a solids collecting space of the drum into an annular solids catcher. The solids catcher has a device for generating a fluid curtain against which the solids, issuing from the outlet openings for solid material, impact.

  • Patent number: 7291277
Abstract: A method for cleaning the fountain solution of a printing press with an automatically emptying separator (16), separates the dirt particles and oil residues from fountain solution and supplies them, as a mixture of dirt and fountain solution, to a dirt and fountain solution container (24) and passes the remaining fountain solution into a fountain solution storage tank (20). The dirt and fountain solution mixture in the dirt and fountain solution mixture container (24) is caused to settle in layers and the layer, containing the fountain solution, is transferred by an overflow (26) in to the fountain solution storage tank (20).
