  • Publication number: 20080130533
Abstract: A method transmits data packets in a radio system between an emitter and a receiver. A nominal energy is defined for each data packet and each transmission according to a quality requirement for the reception by the receiver. An emission power required for each data packet is determined according to the quality requirement for the reception of the data packet. The transmission data packet is formed from a plurality of data packets. A first transmission emission power is defined for a first transmission of the transmission data packet according to the determined emission powers for the individual data packet. The first transmission of the transmission data packet is carried out with the first transmission emission power. A retransmission emission power is calculated according to a nominal transmission power derived from the nominal energy, for the transmission data packet and the emission power for at least one previous transmission of the transmission data packet.

  • Publication number: 20080127840
Abstract: A method of operating an anilox printing unit in which ink accumulates on and detaches from a feed blade and, after detaching from the feed blade, forms ink accumulations on a screen roller, and in which a gap is formed between the screen roller and a further roller for the ink accumulations to pass through the gap without contacting the further roller, includes forming the gap by displacing the axis of the further roller and evening out the ink accumulations on the screen roller to such an extent that the ink accumulations that have been evened out pass the gap without contacting the further roller. A smoothing roller, for example, may be used to even out the ink accumulations. A printing press for carrying out the method is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20080101403
Abstract: A method combining data packets by a telecommunication device, whereby a first data packet comprising a first retransmission number being received by the telecommunication device on a telecommunication channel, the next data packet being received by the telecommunication device on the telecommunication channel is a second data packet comprising a second retransmission number at a delay time dt after the first data packet, whereby the delay time is determined by a number of retransmission time steps and the first and the second retransmission number is smaller than or equal to a maximum retransmission number, whereas in the case of the second retransmission number being smaller than the maximum retransmission number, the first and the second data packet are combined to a resulting data packet if the difference between the second and the first retransmission number is equal to the number of retransmission time steps.

  • Patent number: 7360141
Abstract: To achieve a greater flexibility when transmitting data according to a hybrid ARQ method, preferably when used in a mobile radio system, a channel-coded bit stream is divided into at lest one first bit stream and one second bit stream whereby these parallel bit streams are each subjected to a separate bit rate matching, and the resulting bits of the individual bit streams are subsequently combined with one another once again in order to transmit in a data packet or in a repeat data packet that is requested on the receiver side.

  • Publication number: 20070266873
Abstract: In a method for cleaning an anilox inking unit, a doctor bears against a roller and an intermediate roller bears against the roller and on an engraved roller. During cleaning, the intermediate roller has been or is displaced axially. • Publication number: 20070255994
Abstract: A decoding method for decoding information content in at least one data packet, which is transmitted from a sender to a receiver via a data link. The information is represented by a bit sequence, which is transformed into a transmittable redundancy version. The information is initially transmitted for a first time in a first data packet from the sender to the receiver. The information is represented by a first redundancy version, which is self-decodable. An incorrect receipt is confirmed by sending a confirmation from the receiver to the sender. The information is retransmitted at least a second time in a second data packet from the sender to the receiver upon receipt of the confirmation, wherein, for representation of the information, a second redundancy version is used, the selection of which is performed in dependence on a coding parameter, describing whether the redundancy version is self-decodable or not.

  • Publication number: 20070218835
Abstract: Methods for receiving data sent by a first emitter of a mobile telephony system to a first resource element of a resource, via a receiver, radiopockets being created during the reception, and data which is not received during the creation of the radiopockets being reconstructed by the receiver are provided. The data which is not received by the first emitter is received by a second emitter, in a temporarally offset manner, on the same resource element of the resource, between the radiopockets, and is used to reconstruct the sequence of data. A conversion is especially advantageous for carrying out a receiving method in UMTS compression mode during the reception of data which is sent continuously independently of the compression mode.

  • Publication number: 20070181915
Abstract: An optical waveguide structure includes an air-via region that receives an optical signal from an optical source. A photonic crystal cladding region is formed on the surface of the air-via region. The photonic crystal cladding region confines the optical signal within the air-via region and propagates the optical signal along the axial direction while ensuring near complete transmission of the optical signal.
