  • Publication number: 20070137348
Abstract: A roller screw drive having a spindle nut (2) arranged on a threaded spindle (1), and having rollers (3) which are arranged such that they can roll in a thread path (4), the thread path (4) being delimited by thread grooves (8a, 11, 20) provided on the threaded spindle (1) and on the spindle nut (2), the two equal pitches (p) of the thread grooves (8a, 11, 20) being arranged so as to be axially offset with respect to one another by a partial amount (a) of the pitch (p).

  • Patent number: 6857787
Abstract: An axial bearing includes three running disks disposed in neighboring disposition, thereby defining two outer running disks and a middle running disk between the outer running disks. A first rim of rolling bodies is arranged between one outer running disk and the middle running disk, and a second rim of rolling bodies is arranged between the other outer running disk and the middle running disk. Received in a bore of the first and second rims and supporting the first and second rims of rolling bodies is a sleeve which is securely fixed to a shaft extends in axial direction beyond the outer running disks. The sleeve has one end formed with a radially outwardly directed flange which embraces the adjacent one of the outer running disks, wherein the other outer running disk is securely connected to the sleeve to thereby form a unitary bearing structure.

  • Patent number: 6101891
Abstract: Apparatus for converting a rotational motion into an axial motion, includes a threaded spindle (9), a sleeve (10) in concentric surrounding relationship to the spindle at a spacing thereto, and a plurality of axis parallel rollers (1, 5) arranged in the spacing, with each of the rollers being provided with a circumferential profile and meshing with the threaded spindle (9). According to the invention, each roller (1, 5) is axially supported with both its end faces via rolling bodies (19) on housing plates (14, 15) which are arranged in fixed rotative engagement within the sleeve (10).

  • Patent number: 6053063
Abstract: A worm gear for transforming a rotary motion into a reciprocating (linear) motion comprises a threaded spindle (2) which is mounted for rotation in a gear ring nut (1), a profiled gear ring (5) engaging into a screw thread of the threaded spindle at one peripheral point. The gear ring (5) surrounds the threaded spindle (2), is arranged eccentric to the spindle axis (3) and fixed on an inner ring (8) of a ball bearing (10) surrounding the gear ring (5). The invention provides that, within the gear ring nut (1), the bearings (4) for rotatably mounting the threaded spindle (2) abut against both end faces of the gear ring (5). This results in an easy-to-mount worm gear with a simplified structure.

  • Patent number: 5956997
Abstract: A worm gear for transforming a rotary motion into a reciprocating motion comprises a threaded spindle (2) which is mounted for rotation on at least one needle roller bearing (5) in a gear ring nut (22) which functions as a housing (21). A profiled gear ring (19) engages the thread of the spindle (2) at one peripheral point for axially displacing the gear ring nut (22). This gear ring (19) surrounds the threaded spindle (2) and is arranged eccentric to the spindle axis (3). Further, the gear ring (19) is surrounded by a radial rolling bearing on which the gear ring (19) is rotatably mounted in the housing (21). According to the invention, the housing (21) is composed of rotationally symmetrical sheet metal parts made by chipless deep drawing, the inner surfaces of which sheet metal parts directly comprise the outer rolling element raceways for the bearings. In this way, an easy-to-mount worm gear with a simplified structure is obtained.

  • Patent number: 4586832
Abstract: A rolling bearing for use with a screwthreaded spindle comprising a relatively thick-walled outer race ring and an inner race ring, rolling members rolling between the two rings, rings of rolling members rolling between the two end faces of the outer race ring and end plates disposed at a distance from the latter faces and connected to the spindle, the end plates being adjustably mounted on the spindle whereby their relative preloading can be adjusted, characterized in that the two end plates have in their bores an internal screwthread corresponding to the screwthread of the spindle and therefore themselves serve for securing and axially adjusting the bearing on the spindle .

  • Patent number: 4486054
Abstract: Novel recirculating rolling bearings for the longitudinally moveable mounting of an element with a linear surface comprising a bearing body having two opposite straight race sections limited by lateral flanges connected by two curved end deflecting sections connecting the ends of the straight sections to form a closed raceway and rolling bodies in said closed raceway rotating about an axis, the bearing body having a cylindrical outer contour and is insertable into a corresponding cylindrical bore of a housing which bore is open toward the element to be supported in the area of one straight race section opposite said element, the common axis of the bearing body and the housing bore having a slight inclination relative to the straight race section opposite the element to be supported.

  • Patent number: 4405185
Abstract: A roller bearing for the longitudinally moveable mounting of an element with a straight race comprising a bearing body having two race sections of which at least one is straight, the two race sections being connected at their ends to each other by a curved race section at each end to form a closed race for cylindrical rolling elements being secured by retaining means against falling out, the race being laterally bounded by separate flange plates secured to the bearing body, the flange plates being thin-walled elements having in at least part of the race area chiplessly formed on rims being formed in such a way that the material in the area of the rims is offset by a partial amount of the thickness of the flange plates parallel to the latter and towards the race.
