Publication number: 20240363885Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for producing battery cell stacks in which a first and second electrode string with separator web and first and second electrodes attached thereto at a distance are combined together to form a composite string and mono-cells are separated therefrom. To form terminal cells, a second electrode is omitted in each case at some locations during the production of the second electrode string, so that a length section of the respective separator web is produced without the corresponding second electrode. A terminal cell region is then formed in the composite string, in which a first electrode is inserted between separator web length sections. This is separated when the cells are separated from the composite string to form a terminal cell. Subsequent stacking can then begin or terminate with an end cell. Also a computer program for performing the method.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 26, 2024Publication date: October 31, 2024Inventors: Thomas PFITZMAIER, Jürgen PAUL, Alexander FRITZ

Publication number: 20240180334Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a user includes a faceplate, an arm, a bridge, and a base. The bridge is rotatably attached to the faceplate to allow the faceplate to be pivotably adjusted. The bridge includes a hub with first and second hub bodies. Locking pins on the hub bodies slidingly engage pivot adjustment holes in first and second pivot adjustment rings. First and second buttons can be depressed to slide the hub bodies inwardly to separate the locking pins from the pivot adjustment holes to allow the hub to rotate, thereby allowing the faceplate to pivot. When the buttons are released, the hub bodies slide outwardly to insert the locking pins into the same or different pivot adjustment holes to prevent the hub from rotating.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 14, 2024Publication date: June 6, 2024Inventors: Michael Anthony DiSimoni Stone, Brian Edward Hack, Jurgen Paul Frasch

Patent number: 11737570Abstract: An apparatus for supporting a user includes a faceplate, an arm, and a base. The faceplate has an opening to receive a user's face. The arm is attached to the faceplate and the base. The base includes a base slide that is slidable within a slot of a base body. The base slide includes one or more lock pins that releasably engage one of multiple holes in a lock bar. The lock bar is mechanically coupled to a button body. When the button body is pulled distally, the lock bar moves away from the base slide such that the lock pin(s) is/are removed from the corresponding hole(s) to allow the base slide to slide within the slot. When the button body is released, the lock bar moves towards the base slide such that the lock pin(s) is/are inserted into the same or different hole(s) to lock the slide's position.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2021Date of Patent: August 29, 2023Assignee: Hypnap LLCInventors: Michael Anthony Disimoni Stone, Brian Edward Hack, Jurgen Paul Frasch

Patent number: 7911314Abstract: A electric circuit includes a connection to a current source, an electric load, and a thermal-mechanical fuse which, in the case of failure at an excessive heat emission, interrupts the current supply to the load, which is effectuated by a feeder in which is arranged a spring having two ends, at least one end is soldered to a solder point provided in the feed line. The one solder point is under a mechanical pretension caused by the restoring force of a spring, that separates the solder joint between the spring and the solder point in the feed line, when the solder melts at the solder point.Type: GrantFiled: July 21, 2007Date of Patent: March 22, 2011Inventors: Alexander Dauth, Jürgen Paul, Rolf Merte, Michael Luppold

Patent number: 5513062Abstract: A simplified and economical power supply for redundant computer systems of control systems is disclosed. These control systems may include burner control for furnaces. The safety and reliability of the system are increased. The power supply comprises one single common voltage supply in the form of a self-monitoring power pack unit SN having a power pack NT, an undervoltage monitor UW and an overvoltage monitor. The self-monitoring power pack unit communicates with the redundant computer units P1, P2 via a supply line 1e. This single self-monitoring power pack unit is used according to the invention instead of the known fully parallel two-channel operation with two computer units and two power packs with appertaining components and supply lines. The overvoltage monitor UW and the undervoltage monitor UW are preferably checked for operability through the periodic transmission of a test signal.Type: GrantFiled: February 25, 1994Date of Patent: April 30, 1996Assignee: Landis & Gyr Business Support AGInventors: Jurgen Paul, Anton Pallek
