Patent number: 7332060Abstract: Twin-wire former for producing a fibrous web. The former includes two endless wire belts arranged to form a twin-wire zone, a dewatering element, and a headbox positioned at an angle relative to an imaginary first horizontal plane. The twin-wire zone includes a first section in which the two wire belts are arranged to run over the dewatering element. The two wire belts are further positioned to form a wedge-like inlet gap that is structured and arranged to receive a fibrous stock suspension directly from the headbox. Additional dewatering elements are utilized. The twin-wire zone includes a second section in which the two wire belts along with the fibrous web formed between the two wire belts are arranged to run downward over the additional dewatering elements. This Abstract is not intended to define the invention disclosed in the specification, nor intended to limit the scope of the invention in any way.Type: GrantFiled: January 13, 2005Date of Patent: February 19, 2008Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbHInventors: Alfred Bubik, Joachim Henssler, Jürgen Prössl, Franz Stelzhammer

Patent number: 6875309Abstract: The invention relates to a twin wire former (1) for producing a fibrous web (4), in particular a paper, cardboard or tissue web, from a fibrous suspension according to the generic terms of claim 1. The twin wire former (1) is characterized in that, the two wire belts (2, 3) run upwards after a passing a first deviation device (10), forming an angle (?) relative to an imaginary second horizontal plane (H2), in such a way that the upper vertex (15.SO) of the second deviation device (15) lies above the lower vertex (10.SU) of the first deviation device (10), and that the angle (?) relative to the imaginary first plane (H1) runs downwards.Type: GrantFiled: April 27, 2001Date of Patent: April 5, 2005Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbHInventors: Alfred Bubik, Joachim Hennssler, Jürgen Prössl, Franz Stelzhammer

Patent number: 6521091Abstract: A twin wire former in a machine for the production of a fibrous material web, specifically a paper or cardboard web, includes two rotating continuous wires which meet in the area of a simultaneously rotating dewatering element, thereby forming a stock inlet gap; and a headbox over which the fiber stock suspension is fed into the stock inlet gap. The stock consistency C of the fiber stock suspension in the headbox, as well as the basis weight F of the fiber stock suspension supplied to the stock inlet gap is selected according to the calculation: F/(C*1000)>0.025 whereby the basis weight F is stated in g/m2 and the stock consistency C is stated in g/l.Type: GrantFiled: March 13, 2001Date of Patent: February 18, 2003Assignee: Voith Paper Patent GmbHInventors: Alfred Bubik, Joachim Henssler, Jürgen Prössl, Mathias Schwaner
