  • Publication number: 20070204662
Abstract: There is disclosed a safety switch for generating an enable signal as a function of the position of a moveable guard door. The safety switch comprises a door part and a frame part. The door part has an activator, which can be displaced between a first and a second position. The frame part has a cutout, in which the activator can engage in the second position. A locking element is arranged on the door part in order to lock the activator in the second position. A sensor is designed to detect at least one of the positions of the activator in order to generate the enable signal as a function thereof.

  • Publication number: 20060214515
Abstract: A safety switch for reliably switching off a dangerous device has an actuator which can be moved between a first position and at least one second position. It also has a detector for detecting the actuator in at least one of the said positions. The detector comprises a transponder with an individual transponder identification and a reading unit for reading out the transponder identification. The transponder and the reading unit are arranged relative to one another such that the reading unit is capable of reading out the transponder in the first position of the actuator but not in its second position.

  • Publication number: 20050057868
Abstract: An apparatus for failsafe disconnection of an electrical load has a first and at least one second safety switching device. The first safety switching device has a first evaluation and control unit, an output and an electronic switching element, for producing a potential-related switching signal at the output under the control of the first evaluation and control unit. The second safety switching device has a second evaluation and control unit and an input. The input and the output are connected to one another via a single-channel connecting line, and the input supplies the second evaluation and control unit with the potential-related switching signal from the output of the first safety switching device. In order to fulfill safety standards for such kind of apparatus, the second safety switching device has at least two input circuits to which the potential-related switching signal from the output of the first safety switching device is supplied in a mutually redundant manner.

  • Publication number: 20030030330
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety switching device for connecting and reliably disconnecting an electrical load in response to a switching event from a safety transmitter. The safety switching device has at least a switching element and an operating mode selector unit for selecting an operating mode in response to a defined input signal. An input port is provided, which is connected to the operating mode selector unit such that the defined input signal can be supplied to the latter. The operating mode selector unit is designed such that it identifies the defined input signal as one from a group of different defined input signals. Responsive thereto, it selects an operating mode.

  • Publication number: 20030011250
Abstract: The invention relates to a safety switching device for connecting and safely disconnecting an electrical load, in particular an electrically driven machine. The safety switching device comprises at least a first and a second electronic switching element, at least a first and a second output terminal, and at least one input terminal for a first switching signal that acts on the switching elements. According to one aspect of the invention, the first and the second switching element each have an output which, depending on the first switching signal, produces an output signal at a first potential or at a second potential. The output of the first switching element is connected to the first output terminal, and the output of the second switching element is connected to the second output terminal. The invention further relates to a system of safety switching devices of this kind.
