Abstract: A method is provided for producing an electrically conductive connection between metallic components (2, 6), such as an agitator blade assembly (6) and a drive shaft (2) which have a non-conductive coating (7). In the method an at least partially electrically conductive pasty medium (8) is located in a pocket (12) between the components (2, 6) in contact with metallic portions (9, 10) of the components (2, 6) which are substantially free of any non-conductive coating (7). The connection between the components (2, 6) themselves provide a protection against the pasty medium (8) being accidentally removed from the region in use. For example, the components (2, 6) may be shrink-fitted together to form the connection with the pasty medium (8) located within the area of contact between the components (2, 6) and surrounded by interference fitted contact areas (11) between the components (2, 6) to provide the protection for the pasty medium (8).

Abstract: A baffle for use in an impeller-type mixer (10), in particular for the chemical and/or pharmaceutical industry, with an underlying vessel (10) that has a floor (70) and with a lid (45) through which an impeller extends into the interior (60) of the container, such that in the container interior there is positioned at least one rod-shaped or flat baffle element (15) that extends from the lid (45) toward the floor (70), such that the baffle element (15) is fixed, in particular clamped, in the region between the underlying vessel (10) and lid (45).

Abstract: A charging assembly is provided for introducing a product into a mixing vessel of the type comprising a stirring mechanism having a drive shaft (1) into the vessel through a top port (3). An agitator (7) is connected to the lower end of the drive shaft (1) and driving means (20) are provided on the upper end of the drive shaft (1). An adapter element (10) is disposed between the driving means (20) and top port (3) so as to surround an upper portion (1a) of the drive shaft (1). The adapter element (10) includes at least one inlet port (11) for introducing said product into an annular space (13) defined between the adapter element (10) and the drive shaft (1).

Abstract: A baffle assembly for flow disruption comprising a glass coated baffle. A hollow end of the baffle engages with a connector. An interior tubular portion of the connector is glass coated and forms an interference fit with the glass coated hollow end of the baffle.
