Patent number: 9932998Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder has a cylinder housing in which is formed a pressure chamber variably bounded on one side by a piston of a piston subassembly that is longitudinally displaceable. A piston rod is rigidly connected with the piston, wherein the piston has an outer contour, which permits tilting of the piston subassembly in the cylinder housing, and a projection, which is at the pressure chamber side and on which a sealing element is centered and retained by a retaining ring. The sealing element has an encircling sealing lip that slidably and sealably bears against a sliding surface of the cylinder housing. The retaining ring is provided on the side thereof opposite from the sealing element with a stiffened prolongation.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2016Date of Patent: April 3, 2018Assignee: FTE automotive GmbHInventor: Jürgen Ryba

Patent number: 9890803Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder for a hydraulic clutch actuating system for motor vehicles has a piston subassembly with a piston and piston rod, a cylinder housing in which a pressure chamber is variably bounded at one side by the piston and fixedly bounded at the other side by a base of the cylinder housing. A spring element is arranged at the side of the piston opposite from the pressure chamber and is supported at one end on a spring plate on the housing side and operatively connected at the other end with the piston rod so as to bias the piston subassembly in a direction away from the base. A fixing section fixes the piston subassembly in a predetermined stroke setting with respect to the cylinder housing prior to first actuation of the hydraulic cylinder and is constructed to release the piston subassembly relative to the cylinder housing upon first actuation.Type: GrantFiled: August 2, 2016Date of Patent: February 13, 2018Assignee: FTE Automotive GmbHInventor: Jürgen Ryba

Patent number: 8485333Abstract: A dual clutch actuation device generates the axial compression force required to compress a first and second set of frictional elements of a dual clutch module. Dual clutch actuation device includes a first and second annular piston. The annular pistons include a first end that is in contact with annular bearing assemblies. The annular bearing assemblies are in contact with actuation levers that are in contact with the first set of frictional elements. The annular pistons are arranged in concentric annular piston slots. Together the piston and annular slots form annular piston chambers. The piston chambers are filled with hydraulic fluid. When the hydraulic fluid is pressurized the pistons slide out of the annular slots and apply a force on the actuation levers which in turn apply an axial compression force on the frictional elements.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 2010Date of Patent: July 16, 2013Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Joakim Hogberg, Uwe Krist, James M. Partyka, Robert Neil Paciotti, Stefan Gebert, Jurgen Ryba

Patent number: 7493849Abstract: A hydraulic cylinder has a pressure chamber delimited on one side by a piston accommodated in a longitudinally displaceable manner in a cylinder housing, on the other side by a housing bottom of the cylinder housing, and radially outwards by a circumferential wall of the cylinder housing, wherein the pressure chamber can be acted upon by a pressure medium via a pressure connection provided at the housing bottom in order to displace the piston in the cylinder housing. An insertion part is inserted in the pressure connection and has a channel section which communicates with the pressure connection and, in the installed position of the hydraulic cylinder, extends essentially in the vertical direction and opens into the pressure chamber in the vicinity of the circumferential wall of the cylinder housing. As a result, a hydraulic cylinder is provided which is compact and is designed in a simple manner, and which can be deaerated in a simpler manner compared to the prior art.Type: GrantFiled: December 1, 2005Date of Patent: February 24, 2009Assignee: FTE automotive GmbHInventors: Egid Macht, Hubert Derra, Jürgen Ryba, Dieter Grimmer
