  • Publication number: 20070130724
Abstract: A vacuum-cleaner wand has an inner tube extending along an axis, having a substantially cylindrical outer surface, and formed with an axially extending row of radially outwardly open latch pockets forming radially inwardly projecting bumps. A middle tube extending along the axis surrounds the inner tube, has a substantially cylindrical inner surface riding on the inner-tube outer surface, and is formed with an axially extending row of radially outwardly projecting latch bumps. The inner and middle tubes are generally devoid of structure projecting from their outer and inner surfaces along most of their length. A latch body axially fixed on the middle tube is radially displaceable into and out of the outwardly open inner-tube pockets. A latch on the middle tube shifts the middle-tube latch body radially into the inner-tube pockets to lock the inner and outer tubes relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 6893050
Abstract: The invention relates to a plug-in vacuum cleaner hose arrangement (10), comprising a socket (15), formed from a collar piece (12), in which a hose push-fit end (13) is detachably held, by axially plugging in to a clip-lock. An operating slide (17), comprising a retaining surface (26) runs axially on the collar piece (12) and may be axially displaced in both opposing axial directions (e, a) about a neutral axial position for the retaining surface (26) thereof, against a spring force (by 18). In said neutral axial position the retaining surface (26) locks the clip body (S) and releases the same when displaced from the neutral position thereof by any movement. The connection is produced by a first directing surface (41) on the front end of the hose push-fit end (13) and opening the connection is performed by a second directing surface (43) formed by the locking recess (T) of the hose push-fit end (14). Said arrangement (10) permits a convenient operation, both on attaching and detaching the connection.

  • Patent number: 6752116
Abstract: A connection between two shaft ends situated coaxially one behind the other, of a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine and a piston rod of a valve actuator is provided, where at least one coupling member at least partially surrounds the shaft ends. The coupling member is radially compressed with respect to the two shaft ends by at least one compressing member to produce static friction locking between each shaft end and the coupling member that transfers the actuating motion of valve actuator to gas exchange valve in a slip-free manner. As a result, the fatigue strength of the connection may be increased and its assembly and disassembly may be simplified.

  • Patent number: 6565123
Abstract: A vacuum-cleaner wand has an inner tube formed with an axially extending row of radially outwardly open recesses, an outer tube, and a latch base part fixed to the outer tube and formed with an elastically deformable web carrying a latching block displaceable radially into and out of the recesses. The base part also is formed with a pair of radially outwardly projecting guide walls forming radially inwardly directed guide edges. A movable latch part fitting over the base part is formed with a pair of radially inwardly projecting guide walls forming radially outwardly directed guide edges sliding on the guide edges of the base part for sliding between axially offset latched and unlatched positions. A radially inwardly projecting actuating bump formed in the movable part bears in the latched position radially inward on the block and holds the block in the inner position.

  • Publication number: 20030029410
Abstract: The present invention relates to a connection between two shaft ends (8, 10), situated coaxially one behind the other, of a gas exchange valve (1) of an internal combustion engine and a piston rod (2) of a valve actuator (4), where at least one coupling member (14) at least partially surrounds the shaft ends (8, 10).

  • Patent number: 6431607
Abstract: A vacuum-cleaner pipe assembly can have inner and outer pipes telescopingly engaged with one another and on a sleeve surrounding the inner pipe, a locking body which engages in selected detents formed on the inner pipe. A rocker or rotatable eccentric in a housing on the sleeve surrounding the inner pipe bears directly against the locking body and is biased by a spring into the locking position.
